If it was possible to leave 0 stars i would. the work was terrible. and when mentioned we didn't like the style the tech began to bully my sister. i've seen better work done by my 5 year old son.

I've been a regular at this nail salon for pedicures for the past year and I must say, it's become my go-to haven for some much-needed self-care. As someone with a mobility disease, taking care of my feet is a significant challenge. Despite my best efforts, I often feel self-conscious about the state of my feet. However, from the moment I step into this salon, I'm treated with kindness, compassion, and understanding. The staff never makes me feel embarrassed or apologetic about my feet. Instead, they greet me with warm smiles and a genuine desire to help. The pedicure experience is always top-notch. The technicians are skilled, gentle, and meticulous in their work. They take the time to ensure that my feet are pampered and cared for, often going above and beyond to address any specific concerns I may have. The salon's color selection is impressive, with a vast array of pretty shades to choose from. I've never been disappointed with the final result, and I always leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and confident. What truly sets this salon apart, though, is the exceptional customer service. The staff's empathy, understanding, and kindness have made me feel seen and valued as a customer. I've never had to disclose my mobility disease, and yet, they've always treated me with the same level of care and respect. If you're looking for a nail salon that truly cares about its customers, look no further. This salon is a gem, and I feel grateful to have found it. I have gone to this nail place multiple times since I moved to San Antonio. Out of all the nail places I have been to in California, New York, and Texas, Vanity Nails has been my favorite place. The owner does my nails and I have never been disappointed with the nails I have received. I always get acrylics and they last a minimum of a month, so the retention is amazing. The precision of nail art is also top-notch every time. The customer service is also amazing. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

Beautiful, sparkling clean salon with nice touches like flowers and candles and the best chairs I’ve sat in ever. My gel pedicure is gorgeous and they really scrubbed on my husband’s feet! Yummy iced coffee too. Deserves 6 stars!!

I would like to share the worst experience of my life at a nail salon. The owner, who did my nails, was extremely unprofessional and rushed through the process because they were about to close in an hour. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, but she told me she couldn't do it and mentioned that she liked my natural nails. I explained that I wanted acrylic nails because my natural nails are very thin and could easily break, but instead, she just applied a color over them, which I was not happy with. I kept asking for square nails, but she kept saying she couldn’t do it. Meanwhile, her coworker was working on another customer, and the owner complained about how much her coworker talks, rolling her eyes in a very unprofessional manner. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had been to this salon before because it’s only two minutes from my home, but I didn’t like the experience the first time. The staff didn’t offer me anything to drink, stared at me, and took three hours to do my nails, which left me feeling uncomfortable. However, since it was so close, I decided to give them a second chance. When I called ahead to let them know my natural nails were thin and at risk of breaking, they told me to come in but insisted that I pay full price again. I had already spent $130.00, and they barely wanted to do my toes. The owner told her coworker to do my toes, and she rolled her eyes and said, “Ughh, I’m going home,” despite the fact that they still had an hour before closing. This made me feel completely unwanted. As a single mom who works hard, this experience was especially disappointing. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, as it was clear that the coworkers didn’t get along. It’s not my fault that I paid and wanted my nails fixed. I would be willing to pay half the price to fix the issues, but not the full amount. I had a gift card from Christmas to treat myself, but this experience ruined it. This is why they don’t have customers. Don’t waste your time!

Totally ripped off. They didn’t even put acrylics like I asked. Only put white polish over my nails. Very rude service and they like to talk rude about their clients. Disgusting I do not recommend.

I just left Vanity Nails Lounge II with my husband and as always, it was a breath of fresh air! I honestly can say I’ve never had a bad experience there. I appreciate the time and effort the nail techs take to carefully and safely remove my husbands ingrown nails during his pedicures and the positive vibes and hospitality Ana, Hannah, and Abby offer whenever we’re there. I was hoping this could be my new nail place but I had a terrible experience here. I walked in for a quick pedicure and the woman helping me took 40 minutes just to remove the shellac I had on my toes and remove ingrown toenails. She spent a good bit of this time scrolling on her phone. After she finished with that, another customer walked in and she told me she was going to let my feet soak a moment longer. I didn’t realize she meant that she was going to help this other customer until she took her to a back room and left me waiting there. I told the attendant next to me that I had to leave because I didn’t have time to wait for her to finish another client after already spending 40 minutes on a simple polish and ingrown removal. When they checked me out they charged me $25 for a manicure and $5 for shellac removal. I told them I hadn’t received a manicure and they told me they were charging me for the ingrown removals. I clarified that they were charging the price of a manicure for just ingrown removals (no filing, no massage, no exfoliation, nothing else) and they said yes. This was terrible customer service to take that long and then still help another customer and make me wait and then to charge $30 for minimal work. I now have to go pay the price of another full pedicure at another location on top of $30 to this location. Will never come back here. Edit to add - How horribly unprofessional for a company to first engage in terrible customer service behavior, and then lie about the occurrence online when poorly reviewed. I received a notification that I was tagged in two other 5-star reviews from the technician who worked on my nails, which is unprofessional in itself to fake review your own business to bury real negative reviews. No wonder there are so many 5-star reviews for such a bad nail salon. The technician alleged they have video surveillance evidence of me taking my time choosing a color, when I walked into the salon, signed in, and chose my color in under 2 minutes. Then they claimed I gave explicit agreement for them to stop working on me to work on another customer which is a blatant lie. I was shocked that a technician would do that. Nancy was initially very kind, but I am appalled at her unprofessional behavior. Please save yourself a poor experience. If you’d like to get your nails done in the area I would recommend Valencia Nails Spa, BELLA NAIL & LASH, and Venetian Nail Bar Bulverde. They have excellent customer service practices, professional technicians, and everything positive from this nail lounge.
