I booked an appointment here on a whim while in town for work and wanting to go shorter. I was blessed to get paired with Kerriana, who was fantastic. The entire experience was comfortable and attentive by every person working. I loved the eco-friendly products and the time taken on my hair. If I lived in Seattle, she would be the only person I’d let touch my hair ever again!

I highly recommend booking with TIMOTHY ATKINSON for your haircut. He was very genuine, honest, and detail-oriented. He actively listened to my hair concerns and recommended a hair routine for me to follow along with which products to use. I had a great experience here and hope to come back soon!

I had Shanna as my hairstylist. She styled my hair with so much patience and ensured all my requirements are taken care of. It’s my second visit to the salon and I definitely see myself coming more regularly here going forward. You should try out the complimentary head massage next time you visit Vann!

I had my haircut done with Shanna. My hair are thin straight and little frizzy. She was so detailed and thorough in her process, explaining me each and every step on why my hair needs a specific wash or cut. She shared lots of good tips to manage and style my hair. Finally I ended up getting one of the best haircut after a very long time. I am definitely visiting Vann again for Shanna.

I started coming to Vann Studio after wanting to try a shorter length bob last fall. I've had such a positive experience with Shanna, I now go in regularly for maintenance and trims. I was hesitant to try a new stylist after having long hair for years, but I get so many complements on my shorter cut, I've decided to keep it for awhile :). Shanna is always so welcoming and friendly & it's always been easy for me to get an appointment within the week or two. I highly recommend Shanna & Vann Studio!

My hair is so overdue for a haircut. Not knowing what I wanted or what’s best for me, I showed Brynn a picture I saw online that looked nice. She listened carefully and offered me good suggestions. She helped me achieve the exact effect I was looking for, something more voluminous and bouncy. I feel so good after getting the haircut from her. I will for sure go back for a color which is also overdue, when I find the time!! Thank you Brynn!!

Timothy cut my hair a few weeks ago, and I’m still loving it! I went in with the nebulous ask of a low-maintenance, “chic” for work style, and he delivered! I felt bad for not having plans lined up for after my cut - he spent so much time & detail on helping me out with my super thick, uneven wave hair. A real lifesaver & a fun person to chat with too - thanks for all the haircare/styling advice, Timothy!! 😅 Studio itself is also very lovely - great atmosphere & tidy.

I got my eyebrows done with Rose and my hair cut with Kylene and both did a great job! Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend and the pricing is reasonable for downtown Seattle!

I got my partial balayage and a haircut done with Shanna! I cannot thank her enough to be able to navigate through my idea and give me the desired results. She was super kind to even redo some pieces the next day because it looked different in evening light, Shanna is truly the best! And even the owner of this place came throughout to check with me if I liked the process and if I was happy with it. I would definitely recommend going to this place and getting your hair done by Shanna :)

This was probably my best experience at a salon. I came 15 mins earlier than my scheduled time but they accommodated me without any problem. The vibe and ambiance of the place is so relaxing. Shanna was my stylist and she was an absolute genius. She gave me exactly what I had asked for. I would definitely visit again.

Timothy did such a wonderful job for me I couldn't stop staring at my new hair everytime I look in the mirror! Nice environment/atmosphere at the salon, everyone was super nice. Timothy was so communicative throughout the process it felt like we were designing the hair together. Highly recommend!

The BEST haircut I think I’ve ever had!!! Ava was my stylist and her attention to detail, thoughtful consultation, understanding of what I wanted based on pictures and our conversation, and continued check-ins throughout the cut made me feel so assured. She even explained some of her technique and I trusted her so much! I’ll be coming back and recommending all my friends come to Vann. And might even try something new and colorful next time - truly so happy with my experience!!

I appreciated her willingness to share her extensive knowledge about hair care—she gave me so many useful tips I hadn’t considered before. I have had my hair cut at Vann Studio twice now (most recently by Timothy!) and I have had a wonderful experience on both visits. All of their staff whom I interacted with have been very welcoming and I felt pampered on each visit. They really pay attention to the small details to ensure every customer has a relaxing and luxurious experience, from offering tea / coffee at the front door to more recently offering time with the foot massagers while passing the time! They really take the time to listen and understand what you are looking for in a haircut and to ensure each customer is content with their services. Many of their stylists even guarantee your haircut if you find yourself unhappy with it and offer to let you come back for a free touch up! I also find Vann Studio to be very fair and reasonable in terms of pricing for the quality of service, especially for a city like Seattle where haircuts are fairly expensive across the board. I really love my new haircut and felt like a completely new person afterwards! Thanks so much to Timothy for your collaboration and insight in helping to identify the best style for my hair type! Looking forward to returning again soon.

I love my haircut and color! Shanna C. did such a good job, but even more than that, she helped me figure out what would work best for my face shape and type of hair and is up on all the current trends. She also was a great listener and helped me understand how to style my new cut. Highly recommend! Also appreciate it's a no-tip salon.

I needed a hairstyle for New Year's Eve and Shanna delivered! She is great to work with. Shanna asked questions to get to know more about what I wanted, which I like in a stylist. She also takes good care to make sure the customer is comfortable. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. Also, the salon itself has a friendly, exciting vibe, for regulars and visitors alike. Highly recommend.

One of the worst haircuts I received in over years. I saw Jessie and she has cut my layers. Even though the hairstylist was very friendly and kind the haircut she gave me was very bad. the layers were so uneven. Everything abt the haircut was bad.

Today I was a walk-in. I was hopeful for an opening to get my bob spruced. Luck was on my side and the host greeted me, found a lovely stylist good with bobs and they had an opening. Shanna had the time and took the time to consult and discuss before starting. I adored her attention to details and I am very, very happy. I live in Kirkland and was randomly in Seattle overnight. I would be willing to drive back over!

Very bad. I asked for shoulder length hair cut and he gave me close to chin length. The layers were so bad, not once did he suggest anything to fix them. No matter what I told him he just couldn’t understand me and would not follow. He spoke about “deserving” a haircut. He muttered “don’t be a prick”. I didn’t know $67 haircut would be so bad. I got no help, suggestions, ideas, fixes, inputs from the stylist. I had to come up with something each time and he would either not follow me or dismiss it or do little of that and say “oh yeah now it looks better” and “ya now that looks better” etc. This has been the worse haircut experience ever. I researched a lot and saw few positive reviews of that stylist that were latest so I chose him. Maybe I just got unlucky or something else. He offered no expertise, guidance, nothing. When he was cutting the so called “bangs” the shreds would fall right on the face, eyes, nose. It happened repeatedly. I have never experienced any stylist doing that. They make sure it doesn’t fall right on your eyes at least. He didn’t even bother. I can go on and on about how bad the whole experience was.

Went to Vann for the first time about a week ago and really enjoyed my experience! Everyone seemed so nice and down-to-earth, even if they weren't my hair stylist, from the person who greeted me, to other stylists, to the person who checked me out. Jess was my stylist - she gave me a layered haircut that I loved. First, she asked many questions and listened to determine what I'm looking for, which resulted in a cut that framed my face well. She also shared so many positive things about the owner and programs/opportunities stylists have at the salon. Jess seems very talented and kindly several hair-care tips. Kylene also assisted with my hair curling and did a great job, too! I loved the curls. Essentially, I'll definitely be back - I loved the vibe as well as how my haircut and curling came out :)

I recently visited Van Salon and had the pleasure of having Timothy as my stylist. I was nervous about making a big change from my long hair to a chic bob, but Timothy’s expertise and calming presence made the process so easy. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave thoughtful recommendations that suited my face shape and style. The result? A flawless bob that exceeded my expectations! Wow, Shanna does an awesome job with my fine, long hair. She struck the perfect balance between wanting to keep my hair long, and also strong 💪 she correctly identified the thinning bits at the end to cut away, without sacrificing the overall length of my hair. Plus, she gave me the adorable Audrey Hepburn inspired bangs I requested that will also grow out into a soft fringe over the life cycle of my cut. So happy I hopped into this salon initially for a simple bang trim, and got matched with Shanna! Also the pricing in this salon is kinda unbelievable for the service, definitely recommend to friends.
