I don't get my hair cut super often but I've been coming here for years. I don't have a specific stylist but every interaction with every person involved with my visit is always very lovely. From the call to book to the greet, cut, and exit. I always feel so welcome and appreciated. You have a lovely business and I'ma keep coming. Also my hair looks fabulous so thank you. ❤️

I got the best massage I have ever gotten at velvet monkey with Laura. She was very good about listening to feedback about what kind of massage my body could handle and it included some stretching that really helped as well. Could not possibly recommend her more, and velvet monkey was the coolest salon I've ever been in! This place is legit.

When I tell you this was absolutely the best salon experience I have ever had. Jordan gave me an amazing haircut and I mentioned that I am allergic to coconut and mango she took the time to make sure each of the products she used didn't have them. It was absolutely amazing! Like other salons have always shrugged it off (it's not a life threatening allergy I just get hives and itchy) and I was expecting kind of the same but for someone to take the time to read the ingredients on every product to make sure I was comfortable was amazing. Also the general vibe of the salon was so relaxing plus they had a great playlist. I definitely will go back!!!

I recently went to this salon get my hair colored. I asked for a one-tone all over color. I won't say the name of the girl that did my hair only because she was nice, however I do not recommend anyone come here for your hair color needs. To start she had to wash my hair twice because she left a big spot of hair dye on the back of my head the first time. Second, she burned my head more than twice while blowdrying my hair. And third, she gave me hot roots. It is hard to believe this person has 10+ years of experience. I was there for 3 hours only to walk out with a sore scalp and worse looking hair than I came in with. I wanted a really big change. I didn't get a haircut for over 15 years. So I had really long hair to around my waist. I asked my friends where should I go. They recommended Velvet Monkey. I went online and made an easy appointment with Estrella the owner/hairstylist. I decided to stop in a week before my appointment. To see if Estrella can give me the haircut that I wanted. She said it would be no problem. When I finally came in for my appointment. The atmosphere was really relaxed. Estrella had her own private spot. She listened and looked at the picture I brought in. My new short Johnny Depp hairstyle came out great! I highly recommend Estrella and Velvet Monkey Salons. 👍😎

Arlean is the lady to contact for braids, locs, extensions, and a scalp detox! Speaking of, if you have bad dandruff during winter, you NEED e scalp detox and she does them. Feels amazing no lie!

I’ve been to this salon a few times and Jordan Grimm is an exceptional stylist! She excels at bringing your vision to life and provides recommendations based on her expertise to ensure you LOVE you hair. As an artist, she has a keen eye for what will look great but she also listens to your hair goals. She answers your questions and never makes you feel silly for concerns or anxiety that you may have about trying something new. She takes her time with every style, cut and color and every appointment is never rushed or inconvenient. She is a delight to be around and makes her booth an incredibly safe space for everyone💕 cannot recommend her enough!

ive been going here well over a year and thought id leave a review because it's about time i do lol. ive gone to rena everytime and she's always so great! she just knows exactly what i want. and about any alternative haircut you can think of, shes probably great at, but i always end up getting a shag. rena's speciality is forsure her razors, and it shows, cause my hair and layers always turn out great, whether i decide to go short, keep the length, or go bangs. serena always places the most importance in making sure the customer is happy before you leave, and im definitely happy with all the haircuts ive gotten with her. i knew she was going to be the right choice in stylist when i first came here (:
