I have been going to Toby for a while now, so I knew I had to follow her when she left Hair Cuttery! I have very curly hair and it can be hard to find someone you can trust, but Toby does it right every time! I'm so thankful I'm still able to go to her and she's great to talk to which is an added plus :)

I have visited and tried several stylists for several months but never really found a place that cut my hair the way I liked. But honestly, as a guy that cares about my haircut and a stylists that's great, when I tried Vera's and Jenn did my hair, she is awesome. I've now been for my 2nd cut and have no intention to go elsewhere. Jenn sincerely listens to your concerns and gives you feedback and provides the best man's cut you can get.... she is awesome!

I have had the same hair stylist for years and she recently became a part of this Salon! Not only did Toby do her magic (as always) and my hair looks amazing, but I was so impressed with the setting! Beautiful salon and the other staff I met were very friendly ! If you’re looking for a new hairdresser Toby does the best work! She’s definitely going to be an amazing addition to the Avondale area!

Toby is the best! I followed her from her previous salon. She has been doing my hair for a while now, and I couldn't be more grateful. I always love my hair when she's done with it. Thank you Toby! Highly recommend! By the way, this salon is super cute and comfortable!

Andrea is the best. She works with you and gives you really good ideas on hair styling and always is a helpful. She's been doing my hair for years and now I have family members that go to her that loved the way she does their hair. Even when you're not sure what you want you tell her what you're thinking and she makes it come to life. Thank you Andrea💜

Appointment started 15minutes late. I was charged $65 when I booked and received the $40 wet/dry haircut. The haircut took an hour without any wash, dry, or styling. The end result looks the same as if I went to great clips. I would not recommend.

I felt heard here! Meriam listened to me and got my color and cut that I'd been trying to get for the last 2 yrs, 💞! Highly recommended Update. She then switched me to a different stylist and said that's how she runs the shop, anyone can do your hair.

I have been coming to Vera Beauty for over a year now, my experience is always positive and always welcoming. Meriam and Andrea are the dream team, they are both so accommodating and give knowledgeable advice. I always leave the salon satisfied, and my hair looks great.

I will NEVER go back again. Really disappointed and sad. I asked on a FB group about salon recommendations because I have difficult hair ( Asian thick hair ) and the stylist reached out to me. I was messaged her what I want and she said she could do it. I trusted her but the stylist chopped my hair really short right away. If she wasnt confident she should've started slow instead of jumping right in. After her first cut I asked her to slow down because it wasn't looking right. She didn't even cut it straight. she didn't cut the hair on the back of my neck and face line too. The hair is longer than the overlay. Now I look alike Edna"E"mode from the incredibles. The entire hair cut took about 30 min. My husband has longer haircuts...$200 ( I got a Brazilian blowout too ) wasted on a stylist who didn't care enough to do her job correctly. Also gave me a snobby look for only tipping 10% for a haircut I wasn't happy with.

I want to make an addendum to my review from a few months ago… I wrote this review because my first experience was “nice” meaning the people were nice and personable. But the actual ability of my particular stylist was subpar. I showed a few inspirational pictures to multiple people who worked in the salon because they couldn’t figure out how to do it without actually saying they couldn’t do it. I would’ve loved the honesty and would’ve been okay with changing what I wanted done. But after my appointment, paying full price for color and a cut (which didn’t show any different to the cut I had when I walked in) my hair looked the same. I went back that following week for a redo since it wasn’t what I paid for, and I walked out with wet hair and color that still wasn’t correct or even close to what I originally showed my stylist. Moral of the story, please do some research. I know how hard it is to find a new stylist when you move, but take my experience as an example of a desperate navy spouse happy to have to found someone within that navy spouse fb group to do my hair, and find out the stylist is not even a navy spouse anymore and is still posting in that group to find new clients posing as a spouse. I don’t EVER make negative reviews, but I thought about the other women and the hard earned money they’re spending, and probably wasting. This salon is absolutely gorgeous, the owner did an amazing job decorating and creating this lux environment to get pampered. I got my hair colored. My stylist Ashlynn and her fellow stylists were so sweet and personable. I felt completely comfortable right when I walked in. Plus it’s also in a perfect spot to do some local shopping after you get your hair done! 10/10 recommend!

Just wanted to give a 5 Star review to Abby Freeman for a job beyond and above!!! I had shoulder length dark brown natural curly hair and she cut it pixie style and colored it platinum blonde!!! I have to say that NO ONE but ABBY was going to touch my hair and for good reason!!!! SHE IS AMAZING. My hair looks great. No yellow tones and No breakage!! I have never felt so pretty. The customers in the salon that day could not compliment her enough and told me I actually looked like I just walked out of a magazine!!!!! Well Done Abby Freeman you worked a miracle on me 💚🌺💚

The haircut was amazing but the atmosphere of the salon was even better. I love a place that makes you feel comfortable, asks you questions and just overall cares that you leave legitimately happy with your service. I’m already looking forward to future hair appointments here 😍

Vera has such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell that Meriam has put a lot of love into this place. She is so sweet and knowledgeable. Ashlynn is also very sweet and knowledgeable and she gave me a great haircut! I can't wait to go back. Definitely would recommend!

Meriam has been cutting my daughter’s and my hair for a few years. She has always done a wonderful job. The location is beautiful and she is the best hairstylist I have been to. She always does an amazing job and she is super personable. We never leave disappointed.

Meriam is the only stylist I trust to cut my hair! I've been going to her for 8 years and every time it's better than the last! She is an expert with curls, always understands how I like my hair to feel, and somehow understands my wierd description of some new style I want 😂
