**Update:** It is concerning that the owner rents out booths without oversight of what happens in the salon. For anyone considering this salon, be aware that some stylists, including Yumi, do not have other platforms for leaving reviews. They require a non-refundable deposit, which is quite high, to discourage cancellations. Additionally, they request a credit card on file, allowing them to charge clients regardless of the circumstances. As stated by the owner, they take no responsibility for misleading information, incorrect services, unexpected charges, or lack of communication. ——————————————————— I wanted to resolve my concerns directly with Yumi, but instead of addressing them, she chose to block me. Because of this, I feel the need to share my experience and provide evidence of our communication. I booked a color correction service with Yumi, expecting it to include the necessary steps to adjust my hair before bleaching, as stated on her website. However, what I actually received was a basic balayage, not a true color correction. Color correction, as defined on her own booking page, is meant for dyed hair, not virgin hair with previous bleach that only needs lifting. Unexpected Extra Charges & Lack of Transparency Yumi quoted me $500 for the service, stating that this was the higher end of her pricing. However, at checkout, she charged me $620, adding extra fees for additional bowls and a treatment—none of which were communicated to me beforehand. Nowhere on her color correction listing does it mention that extra bowls would incur additional costs, even though her other services do specify this. Additionally, I mentioned from the start that I wanted my hair cut to shoulder length, yet she insisted on applying bleach first and trimming after. This resulted in unnecessary product usage, further inflating the cost. Feeling pressured and caught off guard after five hours, I paid the full amount plus an $80 tip, bringing my total to $700 for a service that should have been significantly less. Disappointing Results At first, I was okay with the outcome, but after just a couple of washes, the issues became clear. My sides already look grown out, my roots are a level 6-7 instead of the level 9 ash blonde we discussed, and my hair turned out warmer than expected—even though my hair has always lifted to an ashy tone without issue. Poor Customer Service & Blocking Clients When I reached out to discuss my concerns and request a fair resolution, she blocked me instead of addressing the issue. This is completely unprofessional, especially for a service that cost me $700. I have had balayage and ombré done many times in Houston and never experienced anything like this. If you are considering booking with her, be aware of the lack of transparency, unexpected charges, and refusal to communicate if something goes wrong. I will be posting all evidence of our conversations to support my claims. Avoid her and this salon at all costs.

Hice cita con Lysmari pensando que seria un corte de cabello bien hecho, pero solo me realizó un corte chueco y me quemó el cabello con la plancha! Cuando me "arreglo" mi cabello no usó protector de calor o no quizo usarlo conmigo y mis puntas quedaron super quemadas, y cuándo me bañe olía muchísimo a quemado! Solo usó un poco de silica al final, pero mi cabello ya lo había dañado! Se sintió " OFENDIDA " cuándo le llame para decirle como me lo había dejado (Mal cortado), y me dijo que yo le hable para pelear, solo porque le dije mi molestia y como me lo había dejado? Por éso yo había pedido a alguien con EXPERIECIA cortando cabello, y la unica víctima y que debería de estar ofendida deberia de ser yo! Aparte fue super grosera cuándo fui a que me lo arreglará, le pegaba a la silla "accidentalmente", me rasguño la cara segun "accidentalmente" y se molesto porque le dije que si no me lo podía dejar bien lacio, me dijo si quieres hazlo tu! Pero yo como porque lo iba hacer, si para eso le pagué! No me estaba haciendo un favor! Trate de controlar mi molestia por indicaciones médicas, porque si por mi fuera le hubiera reclamado en persona por lo que me hizo y lo grosera que estaba siendo! Ahora tube que psar las fiestas con mi cabello mal cortado y quemado! LYSMARI Acepta que tú fuiste la que me corto el cabello asi! Es de humanos equivocarse, quizas fue tú primera vez, pero yo no soy ninguna MENTIROSA! Y ya que estas mencionando lo de la tarjeta, yo JAMAS te dije que en mi bolsa, yo te dije que la deje en la camioneta, que si podía ir por ella por que se me había olvidado y me dijiste que no había problema, que me cobraban de la que tenían en el sistema. Jamassss fui con la intensión de no pagar, era mi segunda vez en tu salón, como porque no te iba a querer pagar? Hasta propina te deje! Y si hubiera sido como tu dices (Que no lo fue), eso que tiene que ver con el corte de cabello? Acaso por eso me lo dejaste asi de feo? Sinceramente no debería de haberte pagado por el mal trabajo que me hiciste! Te vez mal hablando de tus clientas de esa manera! Estas dando a entender que yo estoy diciendo mentiras, cuando no fue asi! Solo porque tu no quieres aceptar que te equivocaste y me dejaste un mal trabajo en mi cabello!

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and I want to state the great service does not change, the staff is amazing very attentive and friendly. Every single girl in there is extremely talented ,very knowledgable and professional I always walk out of there feeling very confident and happy. Highly recommended Vera Hair 🩷

Lymaris is an amazing hair specialist. I went to her a total of two times. The first two times she did an amazing job on my hair. My whole lifetime that I have gone to a hairstylist she is the one that has done the best job. Unfortunately I no longer go there. The last time I went, she had told me to book with somebody else because she was starting to get her colleagues to do the simple hair colors and she was going to do the more complex ones. So the last time I went, she had me book with somebody else who did not do such a good job. I messaged Lymaris on Instagram to let her know that I was trying to contact the girl who did my hair but she would not respond. Lymaris ended up responding, but she was not very friendly and got pissed off because I messaged her on a holiday day. She gave me attitude because I did that and it was not on purpose. Now I no longer go to that salon, but I will say she is amazing with hair. I would give her five Stars, but I’m only giving her four because of what happened. I would honestly give a three but because she is so good with hair I am giving her a 4

I got a curly haircut and Juanita did an excellent job! She brought my dead curls back to life & was so patient with all the questions I asked. I felt welcomed, she’s the only person I’ll trust with my curls from now on ☺️

I wanted to so something different with my hair before going on vacation but wasn't sure if i could get what i wanted with my current hair length. I booked an appointment with Cassie. When i walked in i was greeted right away and the salon had a good vibe! Cassie was really nice and I showed her my inspo photos. She listened to me and gave me honest feedback about what was doable with my hair in its current state. I wanted layers and face framing bangs and she gave good suggestions. She also took some time to talk about what we could do moving forward to get me close to my desired hair look. I was really happy with my hair cut and I will def be back!

Aside from amazing hair service. Love what this salons stands for. They are big on woman empowerment and being a boss babe on top of that making your hair goals come to reality! Best hair salon I’ve ever been to! I just moved to the area and was super nervous about getting my hair done because the previous person had done some damage. I scheduled a consultation, which was super helpful and scheduled my next appointment. They even worked me in, since I needed it by a certain time. My hair came out amazing. Literally perfect. And she even detailed how she was styling it, since I asked and gave me tips. And I came back again in July, getting my highlights and cut done. My hair looked even better this time. They recommended a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner they carry, which has done wonders for my hair. In the end, this is a dream salon. Comfortable, friendly, shoot they even offer you a drink or snack. Extremely fair pricing and overall a great experience. I CANNOT wait to get my hair done again. If you are looking for a stylish and amazing salon, look no further.

I see Tanya for my balayage hair color, and she does a fabulous job every time. She is very patient, calm, and takes her time during your appointment which makes for a very enjoyable experience. Her hair coloring technique is precise and comes out beautifully blended and toned.

I was referred by someone to try out this salon and now I will never go anywhere else! My hair ALWAYS comes out the way I want it and I always leave here feeling beautiful! So much so that I brought my sister to get a haircut as well when I saw they added a curly hair specialist who made her hair the curliest I’ve ever seen and took the time to show her how to maintain it. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone who needs any hair services.

I’ve been going to Vera Hair for 3 years now and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! Everyone is so friendly and professional! The energy in the salon is always positive and uplifting, everyone is so talented! Lymaris cuts my hair and every time I show her what I want she does exactly that! I’ve been lymaris client since she started her career. I can’t say enough good things about her and her salon. Extremely professional, if she’s not happy with her work, even if I am, she keeps trying and trying until she gets exactly what you ask for. I’ve seen her grow and now she has her own salon and gives other stylists the opportunity to grow. Such an encouraging woman! Her salon is definitely a beautiful professional place. Love this place been going for almost two years now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The owner keeps the salon updated, aesthetically cute, and clean. I swear everytime I go there they make it more simple and convenient. I always recommend them to my friends and they haven’t failed yet. I follow them on their social media account and they post their training and new classes that they keep updated with which is nice for all the new hair trends that come out which makes me that more confident in them.

Recently moved to Texas from Orlando and was SO impressed by Cas! I will DEFINITELY be commuting from Dallas to Katy in order to get my hair done when needed.
