I have been going to Verbena for waxing service with Tamara for the last 3 years. The salon is always clean, calm, and welcoming. My appointments always start on time. Tamara herself is easy going, gentle, and efficient at the services she provides. I highly recommend Tamara and Verbena Spa!

You knooowww a business is good when you STOP TIME to write a review! I scheduled a DeStress Massage and a Scalp Massage add on. When I tell you REBECCA is A TRUE MASSEUSE, SHE had my snores waking myself up! It was like her hands were playing the Harp!!! Non Stop contact! In a perfect pattern. Like a Conductor! She was quiet and didn't speak only to tell me to turnover! I will for now on...ask for Rebecca!

Shout out to Angela (my massage therapist) and Marie (nail tech) for being very professional and being very good at their jobs. I booked a massage and mani/pedi online to treat myself for my birthday and it was very easy to book and the experience was very relaxing and exactly what I was looking for!! I will definitely be coming back when I need another spa day :)

I visited Verbena as a part of a girls weekend with my two sisters and they were able to accommodate us all at the same time for massage, which I realize can be a hard thing to do! I appreciate the professionalism of all the staff we interacted with, not to mention the facility is clean, spacious, and inviting. We will definitely be coming back when we are in town!

A word of caution to (almost) new clients such as myself. I booked 4 services (not cheap) online, and my card was immediately charged $96. Following this, I received numerous 'reminder' texts and emails and threats for what would happen if I canceled the appointment. In a big twist of irony THE SALON ITSELF canceled my appointment the day of - as I was walking out the door. There was no offer of 50% of my charge being refunded, as would have been my penalty for canceling. I got turned off, and called to cancel my re-schedule. The girl on the phone could not find a record of me, and it took a long hold-time to resolve. As of now my money has not been refunded. Verbena needs to shape up if they want to gain new business from people relocating to the area, such as myself. And I am definitely a regular visitor to the spa.

Verbena spa is a great place. I have been going there for years. My gal is Sandy and I'd highly recommend her for waxing, facials and massage. I just met Ginny and she was so nice & told me about the series package since she noticed how frequently I come. 💜💜

Love the Verbena Salon. So relaxing and awesome service. Miriam is the best and would highly recommend her for facials waxing and brow services. She was amazing and definitely will be back to see her.

I've had good experiences at this spa in the past but unfortunately after today I will not return. My appointment was cancelled due to illness, which I completely understand happens. Sadly the way this was handled was completely unprofessional. Very rude staff and poor communication for something that could have been an easy fix. I was also made to feel like I was not worth helping since I’m not a “regular” (I had only been in twice before).

Edited to add: the owner replied and is even more appalling that HE was the one giving such rude customer service. Also just to shed light here I made a appt with massage envy for today and they do NOT require the cvv number. I had zero issues giving my credit card number but the cvv number is asking too much and never have been asked that at any place before while booking !!! Terrible customer service, just from attempting book an appointment over the phone. Front desk was okay but sort of snippy & when I questioned why they needed my cvv # for my credit card over the phone the manager was RUDE and told me I should use a “credit card” to book instead of a debit card for my card on file. I won’t even be going to my gifted massage , I will be giving it back to the person who gave it to me because they don’t take refunds and I will not go to a spa that treats people like that over the phone ! Can’t imagine how they’d make me feel in person after reading the reviews about the way they’ve treated customers. Yikes. And he ended the call with “we’re actually the best in frederick” first time I’ve ever heard of them. And won’t bother to step foot in there.

I've been a customer for 7years, and have had multiple services at Verbena Salon & Spa. It's a beautiful place with positive people and excellent service. I leave relaxed, uplifted and feeling beautiful, every time I visit. The massages are on point! She asked good questions and quickly identified my tight spots to apply appropriate pressure. I have received many compliments on my highlights and hair. My daughter and I had fairy hair weaved in for her birthday and it was such a great girls day. Best Salon in Frederick!

I have seen Mariam for a little over a year. She is extremely professional and makes you feel very comfortable. She is very knowable and has been waxing for many years. If this is something new to you, I highly recommend Mariam.

This place has zero professionalism. We are getting married this Saturday and our facialist canceled my facial appointment with zero notice. We had already pushed both of our appointments a week later because no one was available for either of us. This is unacceptable, any establishment who can so easily cancel appointments like this shouldn’t be trusted.

This spa is amazing, when they checked me in and led me to there waiting area, I immediately felt relaxed, it is beautiful decorated. Sandy was amazing, she is a professional, has a very gentle touch, I would recommend this spa to anyone who needs to decompress. Upon my next visit I will not only get the relaxation massage but also the facial.

Ultimate facial with add on hand. Sandy was great; put me at ease and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Explained the process and products. Quality products (did not feel pressured to purchase products) although I did purchase a few. Would recommend.
