Are you kidding ! The “customer service“ receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. She laughed in my face when I told her I usually get highlights for 60 dollars compared to them trying to charge me 250 for their work. I called 6/12/2023 whoever was answering phones needs to get fired. She kept talking over me when I was asking questions and got upset when I called her a Karen bc she was trying not to allow me to cancel my appointment. If she wasn’t rude I definitely would’ve gone. I was looking for a salon closer to me so I wouldn’t have to drive 2 hours to where I typically go and I could find a stylist to grow with but this lady just set the mood for the whole place. She was so condescending I’m done. These photos are of me done by the amazing stylist I go to now in LA they could never.

EVERYTHING that I was hoping for! JC was so kind and so, so knowledgeable. She really took her time guiding me through options and answering all my questions. It was so nice to have a stylist that really listened and cared. Will 100% be returning here! I had previously went to a different salon with my virgin hair, and didn’t have a good experience. I’d wanted to go darker, but both times that I had my hair done there, the color was significantly faded within 3 weeks, even though I’d asked both times for something that would last. The second time, the stylist told me it was because my hair was porous. So, when I went to Vertè, I had the mindset of “hair coloring just doesn’t work for my hair, I can’t keep coloring my whole head of hair every 6 weeks”. That’s when JC came to the rescue with her explaining of processes, and I decided to give it another shot. 5 weeks in, and my hair is still just as dark as when JC colored it! Finally!

I made an appointment with the stylist when I was at my consultation appointment and waited 30 minutes for no one to show up. So glad I wasted my time. Didn't answer the phone or respond to the messages. Terrible customer service.

JC is incredibly talented and has completely transformed my hair. I came in with very dry ends and dissatisfied with my hair health after a balayage. Through JC’s guidance, I got Pura Luxe and I am obsessed with how my hair dries now out of the shower. It still keeps it’s natural curl and body but is so much more moisturized and happy :) THANK YOU JC!! Can’t wait to get more services on my hair with her.

Unfortunately this salon is run on poor communication which in turn results in poor use of time greatly affecting clients. I waited 45 minutes to be seen without any communication of a delay to my scheduled appointment. This is baffling as their automated system sends messages daily to remind clients of their upcoming appointment. And day of they send text messages to further remind you. Please do consider other professionals in the hair salon business who value their time as well as others. Verté Salon unfortunately you missed your mark on basic business foundational skills. Please do read through other reviews as this appears to be a theme.

Wonderful experience. The salon has a cool location that is easy to get to no matter where you live in San Diego. My stylist was Jessie—so knowledgeable in her art and kindhearted. This was my first experience not only in this salon but also in vegan, nontoxic salon products. I will never go back. As a natural blonde, that unfortunately gets more brunette with age, I struggle with what bleach and heat do to my hair. These products let you go blonde but without the damage (crunchy texture and split ends). There is no strong odor during the process and it also doesn’t require heat processing which is great as I often struggle with eczema. I would recommend this salon to anyone, and already have! Happy to answer any questions in the comments. Overall….Come here for your next salon visit! Update 3/2023: been a client now for over 2 years. Won’t go anywhere else. This past visit Jessie was able to continue to amaze me with my color and cut. I have premature white hair—she can blend them in like nothing I’ve ever seen. Easily can go 4-5 months without touch ups or color. Amazing!!

I just want to thank Maison and JC for a wonderful experience. They not only worked on my hair for hours, stayed open late and came in on their day off, but also helped to empower me on how to take care of my hair. A rare find in a salon these days. They are a top notch salon that I would highly recommend. If you are in the neighborhood… you will miss out if you don’t stop in!! Big shout out ladies… you rock!

I loved this salon back when it opened and with the old management but after my last visit I'm left to go find a new salon. I scheduled an appointment online and called that same day to adjust and confirm a month ago. I wanted a trim and a scalp treatment a couple weeks before my wedding and my schedule has been hectic with all the planning and moving - thus why I planned ahead of time. Also coming out from Escondido takes my time too. And to get in the morning and no one is at the salon is a let down. Eventually one of the nail people there opened the door but she couldn't do much since she has her own client and appointments. ... Overall disappointed and sucked my time was wasted since there were other important errands I put off for this. And from what I've heard I'm not just a one off incident. This has happened to other clients.

I saw JC for tape in extension installation and removal; both appointments were great! JC is efficient and knowledgeable. I had my extensions taken out previously at a different salon in the neighborhood; it took almost 4 hours, and I had glue left in my hair that took multiple washes to get out. JC had my extensions (6 packs!) out in an hour and 20 minutes, with hardly any residue! Can't wait to book a color refresh with JC soon, she's the best!

Luisa is absolutely amazingl!!! I came in for a haircut but it was more than just a haircut. From an attentive look at your inspiration photos, to the most relaxing scalp massage you'll ever get while having your hair washed, Luisa will give you the ENTIRE experience. I've been struggling for years to find a good stylist but you can tell she has a huge passion for her art. I admire her patience and tenacity as she spent a lot of time perfecting and making adjustments to my thick hair until it looked exactly like my inspo pictures.

Shhh…Hidden Gem..found Verte Salon by accident and the owner JC did my hair. I’m obsessed! I had color cut and extensions. Shes a genius! She’s in Civita Park. You will thank me.

walked in off the street for a haircut and got a great one. this is a purpose-driven, conscious (eco and spiritually) and vibrant place. the owner is a beautiful soul. support them San Diego!!!

Absolutely AMAZING! Pam cut and styled my hair after a long time in quarantine. I have been holding off on going but the salon's policies made me feel very safe (waiver in the beginning, face masks on at all times, and hand sanitizer when you walk in). And it was so worth it! To start, it's really easy to book an appointment online, the salon is gorgeous/staff is all friendly and the prices are very reasonable. For the haircut, Pam did an amazing job on my hair! It's the perfect cut and it feels really soft/healthy (my hair was really damaged beforehand). For being so nervous about going, she made me feel relaxed, comfortable and I left feeling flawless. Thank you Pam! Love that I have found my new hair salon!

Eco Chic is a breath of fresh air! Literally! They’re an all-vegan, ammonia-free, and clean salon. The shop has plants galore and fun decor, and I truly feel pampered when I’m there (essential oils, scalp massages, comfortable wash bins!). Leanne, co-owner, is a wonderful stylist who listens to your vision and works with you to achieve it. She’s also a styling pro, so I leave feeling glamorous!

I do not have enough excellent words to stay about this Salon! The EcoChic Salon gives their clients a fully pampering experience. Felt welcome the minute I stepped through the door through the atmosphere and environment they have styled to the customer oriented ethic of their staff. Pam was such a blessing to have for my first visit. She helped me do a full assessment of my hair and recommended and completed a scalp hydrating treatment that worked wonders! I immediately felt a change in my scalp with my hair feeling rejuvenated. And to top it off my cut was phenomenal and right on point with our consultation! I will definitely be back!!!

My experience at Eco Chic was lovely. Beautiful atmosphere, and I love that their coloring products to not have the chemical odor!!! I got highlights, moisturizing treatment and cut from Gabby, and she was the sweetest! I will definitely be going back for my future hair needs.

Was my first time trying a new salon in San Diego and was recommended a particular stylist for thick hair and and she did a great job. Much less expensive than I usually have to pay for that quality of service :)
