Moved to Dallas area 3 years ago. Talked to an acquaintance that came from Atlanta to have Vida do her hair. I knew this was the person for me!! Vida is fantastic!! She does color like no other and I trust her completely to cut my hair however she chooses:).

Wedding Hairstyle Disaster I have been a client of the owner of this salon since 2020. Vida is an excellent hairdresser and a lovely person. But her constant multi-tasking and overbooking takes a toll on the quality of her work and on her customers. Like other clients, I have overlooked these issues because she was worth it. But not for my wedding day. In order to achieve the look I wanted, Vida told me I would have to cut off a significant amount of length of my hair plus buy extensions. I agreed and allowed her to cut my hair short and I bought the extensions she told me to. Two days later I was scheduled for highlights so Vida asked me to bring the extensions and she would trim them to match my hair length then. After coloring my hair, Vida had one of her stylists blow dry my hair. It was then that another of her stylists came to tell me Vida didn’t have time to trim my extensions. I asked when she would have time and was told she didn’t know. This was a Thursday and I wasn’t getting married until Saturday. Yet there was no time Vida knew of when she would be able to trim the extensions. She herself said I had to have the extensions, told me to buy them, (they are non-returnable), and said she would trim them (there were only 4 small clips which should have only taken 10 minutes max). I can only assume this was because of her overbooking issues. When the blowout was finished the highlights were not as planned ( Vida didn’t bother to look at my hair after it was dried) and the styling was poor. I was frantic by this time so I brought my issues to the woman checking me out. After she spike with Vida, Vida did not come to talk with me. She just kept on cutting another client’s hair while she yelled across the room that I had not made an appointment for a blowout. I am not sure what that had to do with anything. But It was so embarrassing that I just left. I hoped that I would hear from her on Friday, asking me to come in to finish the work she promised to do. She did not. Needless to say, my hair was a disaster for my wedding.

I started going to Vida' in 2009. Then moved to Ohio in 2017. Moving back to Texas in 2023 going back to Vida's was a welcome return. Her talent is not duplicated anywhere. She is amazing with color and her eye for precision cuts and shaping is amazing. Her staff is kind, professional and welcoming. Highly recommend !!!!! Best hair ever!!!!!

Vida has been coloring and cutting my hair for about 2 years. Best I've ever had. I enjoy her personally and she is truly expert at what she does. Her staff is efficient and friendly. If there is more that one can ask of a salon, I surely do not know what it could be!

Vida has been my stylist for the past 30years. She is simply the best! Vida customizes treatments/color and styles my hair like no other. She is incredibly talented. Her entire staff is wonderful and it is such a pleasure and a treat when I go to her salon.

Vida is incredibly talented! She has been doing my hair for 10 years; highlights, cutting and styling. I’ve been stopped many times by people commenting on my color and cut. If you are not sure what you want, Vida is patient and will work with you. I recommend you just tell her to “do her magic”, you will be pleased 😊

OMG just got my 2nd hair cut there. First one was $45. This one was $90 because they spent 5 minutes blow drying my hair. Didn't even wash it. Are you kidding me???

I just went inside to inquire about haircut and color and set up an appointment. Stylist looked straight at me and did not say one word. I waited for more than 10 min and no one came up to me to see what I was in for! Please greet future customers.

First time there and they fit me in 9am Saturday the next morning after I called last minute the day before to schedule. Great experience with Ramiro, so nice and he is very friendly and professional. Little pricey, but great service! Love my hair!

I have been going to Vida for yrs. I have very thick, course hair with several cowlicks. As its started to gray over the years, its become a huge challenge for other salons. Vida truly listens to what I’m wanting and then guided to me to what was possible and best way to accomplish it. She’s been great and she’s super talented.

I let her decide what needs to be done because she has a fabulous eye for seeing how a hairstyle will look on you to match your face. Vida Salon is hands down the best salon I’ve been to! Everyone who works there is a true hair expert. I am mixed and have naturally curly hair. I got my hair highlighted by Alyssa and hair straightened by Yessica, they are fantastic.My hair looks amazing and it was so quick. Cannot thank this place enough for saving my hair!

Vida is just amazing. I’m so picky and she is so perfect. Honest and straight forward which i respect. My hair has been so stressed because of medical and other issues and she has taken my hair to another level and on the road to recovery! Love her staff. All such wonderful talent. I think Vida wants to do a good job but she is difficult to work with and unprofessional. She told me I cannot layer my long, thick curly hair because that is “out of style”. Then she used the thinning shears to cut my hair underneath down to my scalp manage the volume (instead of the layers). She did not ask if this is ok, just blurted “don’t freak out” and started chopping before I could respond. I had clumps of 2 mm long hair in the back that took years to grow out and resulted in frizz. One time she recommended a particular shampoo for me, which I started using. When I came back the next time she yelled at me that my hair looked bad because I didn’t use the shampoo she recommended. I told her I did use the shampoo she recommended and she did not apologize for yelling at me. One time she told me I have psoriasis of my scalp. I have seen a dermatologist and have never been told that I have psoriasis. She argued with me that I do. She is not a medical doctor and shouldn’t be making these armchair diagnoses and then announcing loudly for everyone in the salon to hear, then argue with me about it. I tried this salon 3 tries before finally giving up.

VIDA is a hair colorist GENIUS! She LOVES her work and is excellent at it. I call her a “True Alchemist!” Alyssa and Yasinia are truly “a well oiled machine.” They are working around VIDA’s direction magnificently. It’s truly wonderful to watch this group of true professionals.
