I discovered Vidov West 14 when I followed my long-time stylist, Luis, to this location. Luis is incredible - so not surprising the team he joined, and helped build there is also lovely, warm, talented, fun. I always leave with a smile and a style!

I've been going to Luis for years, and I couldn't be happier with the transformation. My hair color was too dark (from prior salon) when I first started seeing him, and he adjusted the color which now compliments my skin tone. He's amazing with extensions and (over time) has added volume and length so I now have long layers down my back, and it seemed like a natural grow out. He teaches you how to maintain your extensions so they don't damage your natural hair. He's fabulous with cuts, blowouts and styling - especially adding soft curls for volume. And he's very professional - you see him on time, the services are consistently perfect, and no issues getting appointments. On top of that, he's a wonderful, positive, creative human so it's always a fun time to sit in his chair.

I’ve been seeing Jordan for years, and I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. I told him if he moved to the center of the country, I’d fly there just to see him. When I wanted to change my color, Jordan worked his magic and transformed it into something that truly suits me—I have never had a better color. Vidov west 14th is such a beautiful, clean salon with incredibly friendly staff! Luis has been cutting my hair for 12 years, and I refuse to go to anyone else! He is so talented, and I always get compliments on my haircut. I have sent many friends to him over the years and will continue to do so. I also have received blowouts here with different staff members, and I’ve always had a wonderful experience! Thank you, Vidov!!

LOVED my experience at Vidov West 14 Hair Salon! The staff is all so nice and super accommodating. The receptionist Melissa is always so helpful and seeing her smiling face every time I come to the salon is such a welcome treat in NY. I travel to NY often for work, so this salon is always my go-to for a great cut and color. I leave feeling refreshed and taken care of - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Updated 10/1 - the salon contacted me after this review. Stephanie was incredibly professional and had excellent customer service skills. She offered to refund my service and invited me back for a blow out free of cost so I can see their skills in a more positive light. I truly appreciate a business being willing to own their mistakes and do better! Will try again solely based on their customer service and ownership of the situation. Called on a Friday to ask about a blowout appt and the person on the phone mentioned they had a special for $40 that day only but I needed the appt for Saturday so was told the cost was $50. I mentioned I saw that it was $45 online. Person on the phone said oh yes we can do that for $45. Got there Saturday to see the special was also for Saturday for $40 with an apprentice. I would have gladly done that if I knew but moved on from it and didn’t bring it to anyone’s attention as my appt was made for someone else for $45. But immediately felt perturbed by the lack of transparency with pricing. Hair wash was super aggressive, lost my earring in the process, figured okay - accident no big deal. Asked for a bouncy blow out but said if it’s not working please just curl my hair into beachy waves- realistic about the weather that day. She went ahead with the blowout. Honestly sad to say, worst blowout of my life. Appt was 12:30 and I left at 1:35. I do not have a lot of hair- medium length and very fine a blowout should NOT take this long. She was very rough-knotted my hair into a clump twice, the dryer was so hot on my scalp I pulled away a few times. In the end after a less than enjoyable overall experience to leave with pin straight hair I then had to curl on my own when I got home - which lasted the entire night. Really just wanted to relax and take away the process of doing my own hair but was anything but. Would not recommend for lack of transparency both in cost and overall outcome of style.

I went to this fabulous salon for a blowout before a gala and it was such a wonderful experience! The staff and assistants were so professional from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. It was the perfect kick off to my night. Highly recommend!

Luis is the absolute best in the business for extensions, cut, color. The staff is exceptional and I always leave feeling so well cared for! I have been to this salon for nearly two years to see Luis and it just keeps getting better and better!

Sorry to tell you- the proof is in the pudding. There's no blaming this on anyone else. I came to you guys in MAY and my hair is still messed up end of AUGUST. You keep stating your supposed skill ... I've been to many other stylists around the city who have wrote me letters of recommendation for how much of a BOTCH job this is... they are appalled at the work you've done. I'm unclear whether you actually wanted to punish me or you actually think this is good work. I think the latter is much worse.

This place ruined my hair all summer. Most recent example- asked them to dye my roots, they dyed them red ?? My hair is brown. And then put a streak of gold in the front. My hair is 5 different colors now. They have truly no idea what they're doing and they'll act like they do, and make you feel terrible in the process. DO NOT GO HERE

There are a lot of good reviews but this was far from the reality of your experience. All of the staff was very nice but their skills were very much lacking. I didnt want anything wild, explained in detail and she cut my hair to look like a 16 year old Justin Bieber. After I told her how unhappy I was and showed her a photo of what I wanted so she could fix it. She made it slighly better I guess but I could not leave the house without a hat and had to go get another very expensive hair cut so I could show my face in public. STAY AWAY!

I’ve been seeing Sebna for years now for the Opti Smooth straightening treatment and cannot recommend her enough!! I’ve always had curly hair and this smoothing treatment has saved me so much time and is like a weight off my shoulder.

Always so appreciative of the extra TLC the Vidov team puts into each appointment for my color & cut. Everyone is well versed in care & product and are always striving to learn more with continuing education & seminars. They take pride in what they do and how you feel after an appointment. Have been a longtime client of Bradley’s and he always knows exactly what I am looking for without me having to say much.
