Maybe I caught Stesha on a bad day, but she was quite judgy towards me and my dead ends during my appointment in January. I explained to her that my last haircut was particularly horrible, which is why it had been so long since I'd come into a salon, hence the dead ends. I asked for a trim with an angle cut and face frames (which I'd asked for at other salons and gotten with no issue), she asked me if I meant I wanted long bangs. I told Stesha sure, because I was honestly unsure of how to respond to the judgement and attitude I was being met with, and also to try conveying that I'm perfectly capable of honoring a professional's opinion on what might work for me. I honestly don't understand why she couldn't just cut my hair the way I initially asked. Stesha cut long bangs on me, and they were big! They are ridiculously choppy (a huge chunk all one length) and awkward. Usually when I get a bad cut it's because I asked for layers and they were too short and choppy, which I think anyone who's asked for layers has experienced at least once. In those cases I just have to blow dry and style my hair after washing for months until it grows in and looks nice. This is an entirely different conundrum; even after months these bangs are obviously grown out but still a very different length from the rest of my hair. It sucks because now to get the cut I want, I have to deal with how large these bangs are and its so hard to blend them into the rest of my hair. I was on time for my appointment, perfectly nice and communicative about what I wanted and my fears from past experiences, and she just cut my hair nothing like what I asked for, in a way that doesn't suit me whatsoever. I understand there are different interpretations of what looks good, but maybe that's why the customer's preference should be taken more into account. It's their hair and their money after all. Hate to write a bad review for a small business especially given the glowing reviews but I've literally never been treated this way at a salon before.

Lesley maestra! amamazing cut! My last person complained how my wiry thick hair took too much time to cut. I'd leave feeling bad. Now...I am with Lesley. She listens, gives feedback if I want it, but never pushes her ideas on me. I am so grateful for her. I've let my gray out under her care and my hair looks great when I leave her shop everytime. She is the Hair Mistress!

My first cut in over two years and they didn’t disappoint. Rory was my stylist but each and every person here is just beaming with smiles and friendliness. Highly recommend you stop by and find someone to give you a trim.

Love, love this place. Talk about a haircut, I get more compliments on my hair than I can count even during this pandemic my hair grew out so beautifully that people couldn't believe I had not seen Robert.
