I had an amazing experience getting a custom scalp and beard facial! My beard has never felt so soft and healthy, and the the care taken by Kimberly during the treatment was exceptional. The steam, exfoliation, and conditioning left my skin feeling refreshed and my beard looking well-groomed and hydrated. The environment was clean and relaxing, with nice attention to detail in the interior design. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to step up their hair and beard routine!

So relaxing & just what we needed! Bought gift certificates to bring my sister (for her bday) and my niece (for her Christmas gift). I was able to book all 3 appointments online easily after the required deposit for booking. They popped a third table/bed to accommodate us all in the same room which i did not expect and was thrilled to find out. Slight gift card snafu that was easily remedied by Sam at the front desk with a little extra time and attention to detail. Had some extra money on the gift cards so we bought their amazing candle and last holiday gift set. The atmosphere is exactly what I am looking for - old cozy building with modern flourishes and equipment. The scalp facials WERE amazing! the ring head sprayer (as seen on instagram) felt as lovely as i had hoped. the products smelled amazing. the tools they use felt great massaging my scalp. all three of us really enjoyed the service. yes, we left w wet hair as described on the website - no complaints. i want my hair to air dry after the scalp treatment to absorb all the lotions and potions they use. Plus the products left my hair so soft & silky. May be my best gift idea yet! A huge thank you to our technicians - Klaire, Anjoli & Salena. We plan to do this again (and again…. and again….)

I had my makeup and hair done for my wedding by this amazing group and i could not have asked for a better experience! Everything was done in a meticulous fashion and made my big day so much better! I also had my Halloween makeup done with this staff and wow- they just go above and beyond for their clients!

I had such a great experience with Kim at my headspa appointment. I chose this service to help me relax before my surgery that was coming up and boy did it help. It was also really cool to see my scalp under the microscope. I will be back for more and to see Kim for my hair coloring in the spring

I rarely write reviews unless the experience was exceptional or pretty mediocre. This spa is mediocre. My back hurt so bad after the scalp facial that I actually called a different spa about getting a massage(I did report my back pain to the professional). There was no table or chair in the service room for my clothes or to sit down and put my socks on. I had to pile my clothes on the floor. The slippers available at the front door were 6 sizes too big (size 12, I wear a size 6) and then I had to walk up two flights of stairs to the service room in very large slip ons. No lockers for personal item, just a coat hook in the lobby accessible to everyone. The professional that did my service was nice. But the actual scalp massage was mediocre and hard to enjoy in the position I was laying, which placed most of my body weight on the middle of my back. You also leave with wet hair. So don’t plan anything for right after. It was poorly decorated, with little space at the reception desk to even put your phone or purse down while you check out. There is literally no counter space. I really wanted to love this place but I get a better scalp message during my normal cut and color with my stylist and I leave there with a great blowout, not a wet head in the middle January. There just didn’t seem to be much consideration for the client experience. The treatment professional did a good job of explaining what she was doing during the treatment.

I recently visited for a lash lift and tint, as well as a facial, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere of the spa was so uplifting, with a calming and rejuvenating vibe that set the perfect tone for relaxation. The service itself was top tier—my lash lift and tint turned out beautifully, giving my lashes the perfect natural curl and a rich, flattering tint. The facial was just as amazing, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and glowing. I truly felt pampered throughout the entire experience. I can't wait to return and treat myself again. This place is a hidden gem in Columbus, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and indulge in some self-care!

This place is beautiful! The services transcend you to another world as you lay in one of their incredible beds as your hair and head is massaged. My hair never felt so clean and it looked amazing after the blow out i added on. Definitely a have to visit!

What an amazing and unique experience. Salena was fantastic. I was educated on my scalp first and it was VERY cool to see from their camera POV about the dryness I had going on. Then I got to be pampered with a custom scalp facial and I never wanted it to end tbh. After the custom scalp facial I got to see how different my scalp looked after treatment (a lot better). I felt completely welcomed and relaxed at Village Root. I can’t wait to go back and get more custom scalp facials & more!

I had an Essential Scalp Facial for 60 minutes with Kori and it was so relaxing. It has been two weeks since my appointment and my scalp still feels healthier than ever. Definitely recommend!!

I’ve been going to the owner Sam and her team for years now. This is her newest location(VOW studio as well) and the spa treatments have already made a HUGE difference on my hair line! New growth galore! This shop is also one of the only actually licensed head spa’s in the north east of the US. I have done almost all the treatments so far. I dig the 3 mini services combo they offer and do red light therapy, a color wash, and usually one of the facial add ons. They have a heated massage chair you recline in that is fantastic too while getting the treatments. Seriously a game changer for my mental/physical well-being. I urge everyone to add this in to their self-care routine.

i absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. from massages, manicures, facials, to the obvious head spa treatments, you truly cannot go wrong. i’ve had a head spa treatment and facial - i have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out with random products. they’re true professionals who listened to my skin/hair concerns and sensitivities and treated me based on those without any breakouts. which is more to say for any other popular salon i’ve been to. i cannot recommend them enough

For my service, I chose the Verboten- this includes a scalp analysis, steam, custom facial, gua sha, massage, and red light therapy. Kelli was my scalp technician- she was so knowledgeable, answered any questions I had, and was such a joy to talk to. The entire spa is a total vibe. My service was 10/10 ✨

I had a custom scalp treatment with Salena and had the BEST experience. This is a treatment totally new to this city and one of a kind here. this has ever element of being both relaxing and so beneficial to your scalp health for whatever goals you're trying to achieve. Such a cool experience! I would highly recommend treating yourself to a scalp facial! The spa is very cute (I was able to park right out front which was great too) and made me feel at home with a cozy robe and slippers before my treatment. The treatment was done on a fancy massage chair/table that i thoroughly enjoyed as well. All the staff was very friendly too! I will definitely be treating myself to more of these in the future!
