Been going to Vivid- Crystelle - for years. Great location in Morningside/ Highlands, pretty salon, friendly and prompt staff. Crystelle is warm and extremely competent at her craft. I trust her with my hair, receive great (solicited) advice, and each time she does exactly what we talk about for cut, color, or style. I always leave happy.

I saw Corina and had an amazing experience! I have 3a hair and rarely see stylists who post pictures of my hair type. I also have chronic TE from stress and had been dealing with thinning ends. We took off all of my stringy ends and left all of my full and dense hair! Corina was super knowledgeable about my hair and helped identify what was going wrong with my previous styling techniques and how to get good results going forward! The front desk staff was also so lovely. Reasonable pricing for a specialty service too! I’ll definitely be coming back even though I live nearly an hour away from the salon!

I was very pleased with the cut and styling results I received from Jeri. She was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and a good communicator. This was my first visit. I had been unhappy with my thin frizzy looking hair and appreciated Jeri’s tutorial with how to work and manage my hair. I will return.

Raegan Barton did a great job assessing my hair needs and using a product that helps my grays not grow in so harshly. She also used a product on my hair that suits my needs. She’s pretty educated and knows what’s she’s doing!

I have been going here for 4 years or so and have never had bad service. Meghan is patient, kind, and easy to talk to. She is also an amazing stylist! She is very good at guiding you gently. The rest of the staff are very friendly as well! So glad to have an affordable place that is such high quality! Thanks Vivid!

I never worry about what my hair looks like. Crystelle's styling and cuts are so good my hair always gets compliments and it's so easy to take care of myself. Besides getting a great haircut, I leave Vivid feeling great. Crystelle is warm, caring, and full of positive energy. The staff is engaging and eager to do whatever to make my visits comfortable. This was my first visit. When I booked my appointment the salesperson told me to bring a check or cash to avoid a 5% service charge. When I checked out with my check, I was told a check also carries a 5% service charge! I shared that I was specifically instructed to bring a check or cash to avoid this, but they did not waive the fee. Obviously I woild have brought cash had I known and I think it was poor customer service.

Great experience! I scheduled a blowout for my birthday and Beau did a great job. I thoroughly enjoyed being in the space with friendly people and learning about their inclusivity of neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ people as we work to provide this as well. Great job Vivid!

I made an appointment with Raegan for a friend’s hair to be cut for her birthday. What a transformation her hair looked so good and healthy. She loved her new look too! Great place with wonderful stylists. We enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited. Thanks for the service 🥰

Sooo I have had long hair all my life and wanted to cut it short and needed to go to a LGBTQ+ friendly salon and vivid was the perfect choice! It was a big chop a huge change my stylist was Zoe who made me so comfortable and feel so welcomed the whole time. Throughout the whole cut she was always making sure it was ok and it was all how I wanted it super super friendly and easy to talk to and understands very quickly. I absolutely adore my haircut my mullet and feel like myself more. Tho there was some mistakes with it like going too short it’s so worth it and she’s very honest and will do whatever she can to find a solution showing she really cares. I highly highly recommend!

Positive experience as soon as I walked in the door. Friendly staff, showing me where what I'd need is located (bathroom, for ex.), making me a cup of tea. I can't say enough positives/praise for the great experience I had with Lauren! I hadn't been anywhere in a couple of months, so there was color, highlights along with cutting lots of hair. Lauren did an excellent job, & I can enthusiastically say, I feel like myself again. Hair got a very positive review from my adult daughter as well!

I LOVE Vivid and have been going there for years - both the Morningside and Decatur locations are fantastic with a great staff in the back and up front. I see Gwen regularly - but have worked with other stylists over the years if something came up and needed to be seen by someone else. Gwen is THE BEST - she has so much knowledge and is really good about taking what you want as the client, discussing the realities of your hair color, texture, density etc, and getting you what you want out of the service. I have never had a bad experience in 10ish years there. Everyone seems to love their job and it shows in the care they provide. Liz - the owner - is so funny and very interested in all her customers. Whenever anyone is looking for a hair salon, I always recommend Vivid.

I love seeing Zoe for my full and partial color! She took me from a very dark brown to a very light and bright ash blonde like a pro! Most colorist in the past have burned my hair trying to go this light but she was able to not only achieve this color but also keep my hair soft and healthy while doing so. For anyone considering going blonde or keeping up their blonde, especially who has a very dark color naturally, I would recommend Zoe!

I've been going to Vivid Decatur since they opened and absolutely love it! I've been to three different stylists over the years because two have left. And because I can walk to the salon from my house (a MAJOR bonus), I just try a different stylist instead of follow them around the city. And I've been super happy with all three that I've been to. Everyone who works at the Decatur salon is talented and kind and welcoming and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. And Michele, in particular, is who I've been seeing for years and I just adore her. She's fantastic at what she does, and she's just fun and interesting to be around. Liz, the owner, is also so sweet and it's always joy talking to her when she's there. I highly recommend Vivid Decatur for a wonderful, laid-back salon experience!
