Voel is the only place I trust with extensions and overall health of my hair. I have been wearing their custom micro bead extensions for over a decade and no one ever knows I have them. They allow my hair to grow without the weight of heavy tapes or long beaded wefts, they add fullness without breakage. I have fine hair easily prone to breakage so this is life changing for me! Post-baby hair loss had me in tears and they’ve been recommending products and hair care strategies to bring fullness and regrowth back. Seeing the results from consistently working with them is incredible. Their team does my straightening, cut and color too and honestly are as good, if not better, than the top Manhattan salons (which I’ve been to nearly all). Not exaggerating when I say they are masters at what they do! And they may be the most down to earth, nicest people in the industry which is icing on the cake. It’s like visiting your dearest friends when you walk in the door. Can’t say enough good things!!

Best colorist in NYC!! I went to her initially based on my friend’s recommendation, because my last colorist just wouldn’t listen to how I wanted my hair to look. At my first appointment Elena really listened to what I was looking for and nailed it on the first try! And every time I decided I wanted a slight tweak, she gave an honest recommendation, and the color always comes out perfect! She’s very flexible with my schedule and very personable, and I always look forward to seeing her and catching up. The facility she’s at is very clean and modern too. A+++

Elena is by far the best colorist in town. I have followed her to every salon for the last 15 years. She transformed my color when I first met her and has consistently provided superior service. Voel is bright, spacious, and clean. They offer a variety of amenities that make you feel right at home with a great selection of snacks and drinks. There is no one else I would trust with my hair and love catching up with Elena!

Feel like I’m ready for a photo shoot! Great cut and blow out by Kim. Beautiful highlights and base boost from Elena who nailed my request to get rid of my dirty ashy tones. On top of being super talented, these ladies are genuinely kind and down to earth. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

My experiences at Voel have been nothing but amazing! I would give 1000 stars! Elena is amazing with my color and Christina is amazing with my extensions! Most importantly, I always know that they put the health of my hair first which I appreciate so much! I enjoy chatting with them and love coming to the salon which is always so bright and welcoming!

I've been visiting Elena Ruiz for over 10 years now, and I can honestly say she is a true artist! Her talent with color is unparalleled—I’m constantly stopped and complimented on my highlights and overall hair color. Each visit feels like a little escape & therapy session (10 years!!) and she always knows exactly how to enhance my look in the subtle way I prefer. Elena has an incredible eye for color that I've rarely seen in other hair colorists. You can tell she really understands color theory because my hair always looks perfect with my skin tone. Plus, I love Voel for its convenient location and cozy, private atmosphere because I don't always feel relaxed in noisy, bustling salons! Also - her blowouts are my favorite. So bouncy and lasts atleast a week on me.

Chris and Kim are unreal. I came to them when I had severe hair damage and cut that was growing out weird. They dyed, cut and gave me extensions that gave me so much confidence. The extensions were so comfortable and no one even knew they were there. I have curly but fine hair and the bead-in extensions were amazing. A year after my first appointment with them, my hair is longer and healthier and I don't *need* the extensions anymore because my hair looks so good. However, I love how they look so I'll be going back again to get them in! Oh, and the shop is so cute and the colorists are great too!!

Best thing I could have done for my hair is getting Voel Extensions! I went to Elena for my color who did such a great job and made sure I was happy with my color. Then I saw Christina who did my extensions. She was very knowledgeable and gave me her expert opinion. The extensions are so natural, lightweight, and don’t cause any damage to my fine hair!

I first found Christina and Vöel after having a horrific experience with tape in extensions that left my hair extremely damaged and thin. Christina introduced me to Vöel extensions and they have been a total game changer. They allowed for my hair to grow and become healthy again. They look amazingly natural and they’re so comfortable, they don’t even feel like I have extensions in! The overall experience has been wonderful and one thing that’s important to note is that the team really cares about their customers and they never try to upsell you on anything, this is so different from the other hair extension places I had tried where I was always pushed to spend more and more. Christina is so patient and knowledgeable, she is so accommodating of my schedule and she makes it a great experience every time. I absolutely recommend Vöel, I think anyone with fine hair would benefit from these extensions!

I’ve been going to Voel and getting hair extensions from Chris G. for years, and she’s amazing! Before meeting her, my thin, frizzy hair was always in a messy bun. Now, thanks to Chris, I love my hair and feel so confident. Her skill and attention to detail make the extensions look incredibly natural. And unlike other extensions, Voel doesn’t damage your real hair, which is hard to find! Chris is not just a talented stylist, she always makes every appointment enjoyable her with warm personality and genuine care for her clients.

Kim is the best of the best in the industry here in NYC and that says a lot. She has freelanced for numerous A-listers throughout the years, and there is a reason for that - she is outstanding. She has been styling and cutting my hair since 2009, and also did my hair for my wedding and 10 bridesmaids. She surrounds herself with a fantastic team. I’ve tried other stylists when Kim was not available and no one even comes close, no matter how much money I spend elsewhere. Run, don’t walk. I’m not getting paid for this review…she is just THAT GOOD.
