This is a glamorous, modern, boutique type salon. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and Blair the owner makes sure that your experience is the best. The online booking system works great and it’s so convenient and easy to use. I like to change up my hair color and Renee gets it right every time. Today I had her put in two colors on the underside of my hair (dark brown and dark red) with blonde highlights on top. She then had to cut it so you could see all the color layers and it turned out amazing. (see before & after picture) My husband also gets his hair colored and cut here and he is very particular. Another added bonus is that they carry my two favorite hair care products which are J Beverly Hills and Moroccan oil.

Definitely recommend Kristi cuts, color and extensions! I have followed here to volume from another salon because I will not let any one else touch mine or my daughters hair! I have had extensions and she has taken my hair from brown to blonde to black! My hair is always so beautiful and healthy!

First I would like to say my hair turned out nice besides some breakage toward the front of my hair and it's evident my stylist is talented. With that being said, I was late to my appt and they were made aware due to traffic and being an hour away. This was my first time to this salon. Instead of being greeted, I was met with "we have a 15 minute policy but we'll make it work today"... i had offered to reschedule if it was going to be rushed and i felt bad for being late. almost 3 hours past where my stylist did not talk to me really at all. Only to direct my head this way or that way. It seemed pretty obvious she was not wanting to be bothered with me or my hair and I assumed it was due to being late. I asked about products used and was received with bare minimum responses. My cut and blow dry was rushed. At the end I mentioned it looked nice and my stylist said "okay well we're done" and disappeared and i was checked out by the office girl. My sweatshirt was also soaked. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a salon before and I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here. I felt very unwelcomed and pushed out. The stylist also upcharged my visit by another $20. I paid and still tipped her because I know it was alot of work, but I felt so embarrassed and bad after this visit, it honestly brought me to tears. For the amount of money I spent on this appt, I thought I'd be met with a little more welcoming people/environment.

It was my first time at volume Hair Studio salon today and I loved my stylist Kristi. I specifically came on to the reviews page to express my joy and satisfaction at the amazing job she did today with my hair. She is talented, patient, and listens to your needs!! Her color and cut skills are exceptional and I will not be going anywhere else from now on.

I’ve been with the same hairstylist for over five years. Kristi takes the time to understand her client’s needs and wishes. She does a great job and is super kind. The salon is cute and cozy with a nice vibe. I highly recommend.

Gabby is an amazing professional. She is committed to making sure the clients expectations are met. This was my first time at the salon. I had been searching for a long time someone who specialized in color. I wanted to get rid of my brassy tones. Aware that the first time Can be hard to accomplish exactly what the client wants Gaby was up for the challenge. She made sure we got to my goal. She genuinely want it me to be happy with my results. I recommend that young lady not only for her talent and ability, but more so because of the amazing professional she is! She is truly an asset to the salon and creates a positive and pleasant environment for clients.

Pros: - clean shop - stylist was friendly during my appointment Cons: - stylist bleached a towel-shaped ring around the neckline of my shirt and did not make me aware of it, found out when i got home - messaged them about ^ incident as it was limited edition, expensive, and a favorite shirt of mine. first claimed it was only water, then offered me 3/4 of the price i originally bought it for, barely 1/4 of what it would cost me to replace it now (only after i sent pictures of the bleached area) - asked for my information to compensate for the incident and has yet to reply to my email or send any amount for reparations - stylist curled my naturally pin straight hair and it essentially puffed up once i exited the salon - was told i would get to silver, instead got a blonde/copper color (from dark hair, i’m not surprised, but i was reassured that they could do it) - they have ignored both my emails, and have yet to send anything to me in regards to the situation

I love my hair! Gabby colored it perfectly. I requested a bold change from blonde to red. She looked at my pictures, and mixed up the perfect match. I've tried using other stylists to dye my hair red at least 10 times, and this is my favorite result. The salon is so fun! I feel pampered and love the atmosphere with the joy from all stylists. Each one I've met has professional skills! I highly recommend the Friday afternoon crowd! I heard something about corn hole next door too.

Thank you Jazmyn for making my daughter's first full salon experience so wonderful. She is a little bit of a tomboy, so I was shocked when she asked to have her hair highlighted for her 13th birthday! The whole place is warm and welcoming, and COVID safe and responsible! Plus her hair came out amazing and she is so happy with it! Jazmyn is extremely talented and knew what we wanted with us not being able to fully explain it, she just knew what to do! And it is better than we imagined! Thank you so much!

Blair and his team work together very well. Probably the very best style and cut you can find in the bay area. When I'm there I almost always meet someone coming in for the first time-usually from outside the immediate area. Best of the best, IMHO.

First time tried and not happy with the service or hair cut, both are a disappointment. Front desk lady never smile and does not have the welcoming warmth. The stylist who did my cut had done a worst job, I asked for long layered hair cut....I never come across a hair cut what she did, she did cut both the sides and never cut the middle portion in the back....also she did cut more than what I wanted....very much disappointed . . .I have been to the salon and did my haircut, really surprised to see the question who are you and have you been to the salon? yes i have been to the salon also wanted to let you know that without getting an experience i would never give a review.

Love how my hair turned out! Natalie did such an amazing job adding strawberry blonde tone to my highlights. She was patient and detailed to get just the right look. This was my first hair apt at Volume Hair Studio and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. So happy I found this studio!

Service was great! Rene gave me the haircut I wanted in a timely fashion. My only complaint is it's a bit pricey.
