I have been going to Irma Sandoval for my hair since I was a baby, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! She is truly a master of her craft—always professional, kind, and incredibly talented. Overdue review but super sweet people, worked really nicely with my hair - most places get all weird when a girl with short hair comes in and wants it shorter or shaved down but the lady who helped me was a gem and even complimented how nice I look with short hair and my style. I can’t wait to see them again for my hair needs or my next hair dye ♥️✌️

Best service ever, they were able to receive me the same day, I arrived a bit earlier than the scheduled time, but they accepted me right away, the staff is super cordial, I didn’t have to say anything and they already knew my favorite haircut, the staff was very nice to talk to, the service was quick, the price is very affordable, it was just perfect!

I started going to this hair salon when I was a kid. I lived in Culver City, a few minutes by car from it. We moved in January of 2007 about 30 to 40 minutes away from this salon. There's a salon three blocks from where I live now, about 10 minutes walking distance. I tried going there a few times but it just didn't work out. I now have to Uber or get a ride from my father (if he is running errands in Culver City) every time I want a hair cut because I love this place.

PLEASE AVOID ZULMA!!! She may be a long-time hairdresser at this salon but she does NOT know how to give a proper haircut. I went in on Sunday to get my daughter's first haircut. I used come here to get my haircut when I was younger, so I thought a familiar hair salon would be the safest bet. I came as a walk-in and was attended by Zulma. She was friendly and seemed confident enough to cut my daughter's hair. Right from the get-go, I got a weird vibe when I saw she didn't even bother to brush my daughter's hair before trying to braid it and snip those first locks I wanted to keep. Although a sense of unease settled in, I pushed forward, trusting in her expertise. Shockingly, in roughly 15 minutes, she said the haircut was done. My initial glance at the result was utter dismay, but I masked my emotions to avoid distressing my sentimental daughter who was feeling sad about losing the length of her hair. I didn't want to complain and upset my daughter further, so I just paid - i didn't tip, I didn't say thank you or goodbye. The next day, after I brushed my daughter's hair, the hack-job was totally noticeable. I called to complain right away and request a refund which was granted immediately after I sent pictures. Initially, I wasn't going to write a review because they were decent enough to return my money. However, after some thought, I think potential customers have the right to be warned against using this lady (especially if you're bringing your kid here). Zulma is going to ruin this salon's reputation and make it lose clients. Even if there are other wonderful and talented hairdressers here, I will never know because Zulma has ruined my opinion of this salon.

First time. Visited on Sunday, Mother's day. Very affordable hair services. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Hairdresser Zumla was a pleasure to meet. She made great recommendations and did fine work. Very satisfied!

Let me start off saying that the staff is amazing. I like the fact that they are bilingual and can comfortably switch a conversation between Spanish and English. The cuts themselves were very clean work clean work. One of my children has children has ASD which is autism and another has ADHD. The staff did a wonderful job in communicating with the children and making sure they were comfortable at every moment of the cut. My kids are very picky when choosing a new Barber or hairstylist and since moving to cover city we have tried multiple haircutting locations including supercuts. Nothing bad to say about supercuts the environment was just not cutting it for me.. I am thankful that I found waves Hair Salon because my because my children feel very comfortable and Avery comfortable and are now willing to even get haircuts without Throwing tantrums. I have styled my hair here short hair and was happily pleased with the detail of services provided.
