I’ve gotten my hair done here now 4* times with Roxi & will not be going anywhere else! Roxi is such a kindhearted soul, who has the best energy, & is an AMAZING stylist. The first time I came in, she absolutely CRUSHED IT but my hair didn’t take to the color well & it faded very quickly. I let Roxi know & she had me come in to fix it for free. What place in Chicago does that?!? Needless to say, this salon knows what’s up when it comes to taking care of their clients. They are extremely inclusive & have a badass vibe. I live in the burbs & it is 1000% worth it to come to the city to have the services I receive here. I cannot recommend them enough! (*edited my review to include a 4th visit bc yet again, she crushed it! LOVE WFLYH & Roxi!!!)

As a queer Jewish woman, I can’t think of a safer space I could go to get my hair done. The space is styled beautifully and for comfort and safety - no walk-ins, no totally open front windows so people can gawk at you while you get your hair done (kinda embarrassing sometimes tbh). And, the hourly pricing model is a gift to salon employees and patrons alike - sets expectations, treats employees fairly, and eliminates tipping culture. I love it here.

Belanah was wonderful!! My first time getting my hair done professionally and it was so nice and enjoyable and she made it very relaxing and the hair came out so cute too!!!! I loved it and will definitely come back!! xD

I cannot bring myself to let anyone else do my hair other than Belanah. She is the most talented hair stylist I have met! She is so personable and always in favor of what’s best for your hair. I will stick with her wherever she goes. I have never loved my hair more than when I leave my appointments with her. 🩷

I cannot say enough good things about this salon!!!! I followed my ride or die stylist Krista here and we are having the absolute best time with Franky and their business. This is a place where you can be your most authentic self and everyone is so friendly and encouraging. Krista is a goddess among us and I cannot recommend her enough (if you need balayage, look no further). Love you, WFLYH!

I really enjoyed my appointment at this salon, the decor was amazing, and everyone was really nice! I scheduled with Ashley and she was really helpful with tips and recommendations for hair care and styling. I left feeling so much more confident and would love to book with them again but for some color as their colorings look so incredible. Definitely such quality hairstylist here!

It takes me about an hour to get to WFLYH from Rogers Park, and it is worth every minute of travel time! The space is so cute and every haircut I have gotten from my stylist, Leah, has been exactly what I was looking for.

Love this place and everything about it! I do vivid color so I spend a lot of time in the salon when I go. Annie (my stylist) and Franky (owner) have always established expectations, made me feel comfortable, checked in with me and my needs, and are always gracious and accommodating (like when I needed to bring work with me to the salon—which is super cute btw). I love their mission of creating an equitable work environment and having transparency with clients with tip included pricing.

So glad I found this salon and Jade as a stylist. I always leave feeling refreshed and I get a ton of compliments on my hair. The payment set up is also nice not having to worry about tips.

The best, no doubt!! While I haven't gotten by hair done by Frankie in a few years, (I live out of state now) I know that she's the best out there! She did my first ombré and I'll never forget it, best blonde/color I ever had done to my hair!

Their concept is phenomenal. While casually thinking I was Google Searching, I came across their salon. Immediately, I noticed they were considerate of their workers and adapted a tip-free, hourly rate model. What's even better, was that Krista, the stylist I worked with, was conversational, fun, wonderfully talented, and helpful. I went from probably 18" of hair to 12", and she helped me maintain enough of it to still put in a ponytail. Please, go here. They're wonderful. Just know you need to let them know of your arrival using the check-in system; their door is locked, otherwise. (If I took selfies, I'd post them... You'll just have to take my word for it?)

This salon is amazing! Very inclusive, judgment free. I love the approach of paying by the hour. I worked with Roxi on color and cut. She worked wonders on my DIY color and gave me the shade I was dreaming of. Highly recommend!

WFLYH forever changed my hair for the better!! Enrique is amazing at listening to what my goals are and helping me get there with healthy hair! Franky is so sweet and I love the business she is running - exceptional services at transparent prices. I cannot recommend this place or these artists enough!!

What a great experience! I made my appointment with Belanah. She was so nice and made me comfortable right away. We discussed what was best for my type of hair and she did a great job with coloring and styling. I definitely will be going back to Belanah in the future. And not to mention the salon is so clean and nicely designed.

seriously, this place is so worth it. This was my first experience with a high end place and lemme tell you, they deserve every penny they charge. Very chill atmosphere, staff is absolutely loaded with skills, and I left here feeling like a million bucks. I was with Franky, and I could NOT stop smiling when she was done. I got foils and a cut, and she took her time afterwards, teaching me how to achieve the style I wanted in an intentional and very easy to follow way. This is not a cookie cutter "high end" factory where you're in and out in 30 minutes and they're on to the next client. I felt like a friend. My only (very small, very insignificant) gripe was that their front door is kept locked, so if you're a few minutes early you need to call them to let them know you're there or you'll be standing out in the cold and wind until you get let in.

Enrique is an absolute gem human. He’s so attentive, empathetic, and gentle with his craft. You can tell he truly loves what he does. Not to mention he’s so fun to talk to! He always makes me look and feel so beautiful. You won’t go wrong booking with him!

I have been sleeping on writing this review but you should NOT sleep on coming in and seeing Franky and her team for your hair. I have curly hair (3a/3b for those that know or care) and it is SO HARD finding a good curly cut. I've tried all the specialized curly cuts and over the pandemic decided to grow it long. I got a trim from Franky and then the start of October decided to go for the big chop. I was immediately in love and have been so happy with the chop ever since. The cut, time, and price were all 100% worth it. I also really admire and appreciate how Franky is running her business to support her employees in thriving professionally and financially. Definitely invest in Franky and your future 'do by going to get your next cut at IFLYH! Photos a week before the cut and immediately after the cut!
