I’m in disbelief. I walked in there and said “this is how I like my hair, this is how I style it, just a little bit shorter.” And she trimmed around my entire head. By the time I realized it I lost most of my length. Likely a years worth of hair growth is gone. I cannot even style it. I’m in shock. I don’t want to be seen in public. This is horrible. She didn’t even ask what I wanted cut. Just “okay okay I got it”. Who does that? Just cutting it how you want to?

I got my hair cut here on Saturday and Michelle did a good job at cutting some long layers but I did want a couple of more layers with face framing. When she was finished, I didn’t have the heart to ask her again since they were closing and I was the last customer for the day. So I called later and made another appointment today (Monday) and Ingrid took me in, she did a fantastic job adding exactly what I wanted with no additional charge! I highly recommend Ingrid she was very lovely and knows how to do her job right! When you get a hair cut here the price is great! $55 and you get a hair wash and a nice blow dryer style when the cut is done! Will be coming back the next time I need a cut!💕

I recently moved to Seattle and wanted a stylist in my neighborhood. I made an appointment at the Wedgewood Hair Studio for 'full color with foils.' The salon is lovely; it's clean without a chemical smell, and feels welcoming and peaceful. I asked for light brown, with blond highlights, and pointed out the brown hair sample in the book with a very slight reddish tint (which I have had for years). In the past it has been simple for stylists to do. I even specifically asked to avoid bright sheen, and stated my preference for an ashy, faded hue of brown and blond. She said sorry, light brown was too hard with my hair, but she would do darker brown instead. Inexplicably, Michelle then dyed my hair extremely red. I don't think she did it on purpose and I'm not mad at her at all; it just seems she doesn't have experience regarding color. When I was shocked that it was red, she said "Well you wanted a lighter color." (So she couldn't do light brown, told me she would do darker brown, and then dyed it bright red instead.) I tried to tell myself it was okay, but I'm dreading seeing this in the mirror every day. The salon manager should have assigned me to someone whose expertise is color. Michelle is kind and gentle, and a very nice person who deserves a successful career. But hair is personal and important, and when you simply need brown hair it would be nice to get that, especially when paying $230. That was my hair budget for several months; I can't afford to go anywhere else and get it fixed, and it wouldn't be good for my hair anyway. I added a photo of how my hair normally looks (which is what I asked for) and an unfiltered photo of the color I got today.

Love this place! I've been seeing Michelle for my twice a year curly cuts for a few years now, and she is a master at her craft. My hair is pretty curly and floofy (2c-ish curl), and with only a few glances at a reference photo she methodically recreates it perfectly suited to my hair type. Also, I'm not the most outgoing, and have certainly dreaded haircuts in the past because of my difficulties keeping up with smalltalk. But not here. Michelle's perfectly content to work in comfortable silence, which fantastic haircutting skills aside, means the world to me!

I just had the WORST experience of my life at this salon. I went in for a color and trim, and immediately was berated about the “quality” of my hair. It was clear that the hairstylist was inexperienced and lacked common customer service skills. I asked to have my hair lightened and toned. She said she didn’t have time first of all and then kept saying how she felt uncomfortable bleaching my hair. To be clear, I never asked her to bleach my hair. She even stepped away to talk to the salon manager to whine to her about how uncomfortable she felt. I’m a natural blonde. Anytime I’ve gone to a hair salon before, they’ve simply lightened my hair with actual color. That’s what I expected here. Instead I was met with hatefulness while the hairstylist and the salon’s owner picked at my hair and kept telling me how damaged it is. I have NEVER been treated like that, and I’ve never had a hairstylist stare disgustingly at my hair like that. The usual comments from hairstylist are split ends, which I get trimmed off. I walked out before services were performed because I’m not paying to make concessions about my hair color and be treated that poorly. I just moved to Seattle from Oklahoma, and I’m now nervous about returning to another hair salon because I’m scared to be treated that way again. I sincerely worry about the people who come in to this salon with hair insecurities being treated as I was today. It was humiliating and hurtful. Practice common courtesy. This salon is unprofessional and inexperienced. I will never return.

I asked for highlights and showed inspiration photos.The hairstylist clearly didn’t understand what I was asking for. My hair has two platinum blonde streaks in the front that are very noticeable (not what I asked or showed!!) The bleach was not toned at all. My hair is dark Brown .The photos show what I got vs what I asked for

I showed Ingrid a picture of platinum hair, and she agreed that she would be able to do this hairstyle. When she finished dying my hair, it was just a shade lighter than my already blonde hair (not even close to platinum). When I asked if she would be able to dye it lighter, she said that platinum can’t be achieved with only one hair change, even though she had already agreed that platinum was possible. My hair looks good, but it isn't the shade I wanted, and i paid $205 for a hairstylist who was very rude and unprofessional.

This Salam is just want I needed and wanted. A friendly and immaculately clean salon with reasonable prices. Where I got a superb haircut. I saw Taryn. She listened to me and gave suggestions from her vast experience. I was not sure how short I wanted my hair cut. She did an initial cut and when we decided it could be shorter she did the haircut again. I feel like I found a hair home

Staff always friendly and nice when go in. I can only buy my favorite shampoo at the salon works so well for my hair. They up charge for this product its the same price as it is on the company's website just have tax love it! Staff made quick and easy.
