Review for Dr. Staples at Westlake Dermatology: Dr. Staples is the best doctor I’ve ever had! He came in on a Sunday morning to fix my wound, showing incredible dedication and care. He’s kind, funny, and made me feel completely at ease during a stressful time. His professionalism and warmth are unmatched. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Typical kid of the 70s and 80s, I spent most my time outdoors which might have led to my melanoma. Removal was really great and they were very responsive for any questions I had afterwards. Medical assistant, Jennifer H was one that was very nice and easy to work with.

Everyone there is amazing! Yes, this a real review, just went there last week. Getting back focusing on personal care is a challenge. These people are wonderful, especially the ones who take care of you directly. No judging, no negativity.... the best wellness place I have ever been to. Thank you all!

I found this place online and I've had amazing experiences coming here lately! The staff is friendly and cost is reasonable and they always explain all in details. Definitely recommended this place. Love yall! :)

The esthetician, Kristi, was genuine and down to earth. She quickly referred me to a provider for a service that wasn’t offered in-office. Shawn, the front desk reception was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. Thank you Ladies!

I had a really great experience at this location. I did most of my paperwork online, just had one page to fill out when I got there. I was called back a few minutes early, was given clear instruction on what was happening and explanation throughout. I had the privilege of working with Kristen Gabbard FNP-C and a student and nurse with her. She was very quick, empathetic, and gentle during the whole process. I will definitely be going back for any dermatology needs in the future.

Disappointed I came to the office and everyone downplayed my opinion and they said it was just a mole and it popped months after. I said many times it was weird. Just a fancy place but not if you’re looking for health.

Had a followup appointment scheduled for today (9/26/23) at 2:20pm. Upon checking in receptionist asked me for my ID and I told her I did not have it. She began to make a big deal about it and went to check with another personnel to ask if I could still be seen despite this being my 3rd visit and paying out of pocket per visit. I told her I had already been there twice and she still continued to make a big deal about the situation. They "allowed" me to go back with the nurse having been told for my next visit I would have to present ID. Nurse tried to be slick and take my photo with tablet but told her I did not want that, she left with a bad attitude. I waited for about 10 mins before the office manager came in and still demanded I give her another form of ID. I left and told her I was not paying for the visit as I was being denied service as she kept saying, "I'm sorry". I told her not to be sorry and that she was ridiculous as I walked out of this phony clinic. As a Latino man/ Person of Color, I wonder if they would have made the same racist demands as all personnel is White. I guess they forgot the only color that matters is Green as I pay out of pocket. Did not realize the staff also works as Law Enforcement. If you are a person of color steer clear from this place. There are plenty of Dermatology places in Austin. ID must be a Texas thing as in California for any type of medical visits IDs and pics on charts are optional not required. I came in for a follow up not applying for a loan or credit card. These people need to be retrained!

This place is amazing! Dr. Johnny Zhao is so kind, patient and caring! I had some skin cancer removed and he did such a great job cutting that I barely have a scar! He’s very attentive and really listens to your concerns, as I was a bit nervous! I highly recommend this business and will be returning for all my skin care needs.

Had a great experience here! Office staff was friendly, clean and while I was early for my appointment, I was quickly taken back and chatted with the nurse about my concerns. She was friendly, engaging and listened to me. Once the Dr. came in, he was just as friendly and attentive to my concerns. I also had a questionable mole removed and it was quick, painless and very cleanly done. When I went to go get my prescription I was happy to see it wasn’t the most expensive cream on the market! I had a great experience and would recommend this office to friends and family.

The front desk staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Kristen the NP was very knowledgeable, and I feel very comfortable with my procedure done today. Not to mention how beautiful the facility is! Definitely will return for all my Derm needs. Happy I found it.

Went here with some basic questions in regards to hair, skin, etc. Overall I found the feedback to be very underwhelming. While on the one hand I appreciated the Doc not trying to upsell me to stuff, he seemed very apathetic overall. Basically shrugged off any concerns I had & delivered very generic advice after a 5 min look over. If this place is going to charge $150 for a simple check up, they need to deliver premium service. I did not feel it met that bar. So will just got to Ascension from now on.
