I paid $650 upfront after a consultation with lisa for 80-100 dread extensions. At my 1st appt Lisa showed me the extensions she was going to apply. They were twists. When I questioned her about it she tried to convince me that they were dreadloc extensions. I wouldn't let her put them in and said that I wanted, asked and paid for dreadloc ext. She became angry and kept telling me that she blocked off 6 hours of customers for my appt. But eventually rescheduled me so she could order the dread ext. For 2nd appt she actually had dreadloc ext so we started. After about 30 min she said she was done with my right side. I then asked for the mirror. When I looked at "completed" right side, there was a grand total of 4 ext for entire side. Each of the extensions were sticking straight out sideways from the center of a 3" hexagon. It looked ridiculous. Alien. I was mortified and distraught. I asked her why she would put them in that way. I also did some quick math in my head and wonder how she planned to evenly install 95 more if there was only going to be 5 on each side. She tried to convince me that this is how they are supposed to be done etc. So I asked about the math and the other 95 dreads. She then told me that it would be impossible to put that many extensions in my hair due to the weight. I said that she is the one that estimated 80-100. I also mentioned that my neighbor did them for me last summer and I had over 150 and I had zero issues. She repeatedly told me she couldn't possible do more than 40 for health reasons. By then I was crying and asked her to remove them because there was no way I could go out in public like this. So she did. She never offered to start over using more. She never offered possibly mixing the dreads with the twists. She offered no resolution. She took out the 5 ext she had put in in less than 30 min. And also took 5 phone calls during that time. After she removed them she started rushing me out of her shop also handing me the opened pack of dreads plus 1 unopened package of dreads stating that she could not return them as they were now used. She also told me that she would refund my money the following day through zelle which is how i paid her. When I got home I counted them. There were 40 dreads total. She had never even ordered the right amount of dreads. She only ordered 40 even though every time we discussed it she quoted me 80-100. She just figured I would let her convince me 40 was the most she could put in. The following day I received a zelle payment from her for $150. She decided to keep $500 even though she didn't do any extensions in my hair. I have called and text her repeatedly and gotten zero response. Her shop is never open or at least never unlocked so going by there would be a mute point. I have now filed a small claims case against her and I'm currently waiting for her to be served. I VERY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON ! ZERO PROFESSIONALISM ! How could she possibly think that I should pay $500 for 2 appt attempts that both failed through no fault of my own. Both failed as the direct result of her actions.

My wife is the one that actually took my Daughter in, I just paid for it. But the wife says that Lisa I think that was the name was very attentive and did an excellent job and my baby is tender headed too, she just turned 15 and decided that she didn't want her past the shoulder length hair and chopped it off thus I had to pay for a style to keep her from running around looking raggedy. Thank you again Lisa 🤗

I went in for dreadlocks and not only was I told to be on time and they showed up 15 minutes late but I left with twist braids instead of the dreadlocks I had requested a complete waste of $180 dollars would not suggest going there. I have been trying to turn my twist into dreads ever since because they couldn’t service my needs properly or at all.

I had an appointment with persasive hair and drove 2 plus hours my appoint after over a wk of planning was made for 7pm and when i reached town was told they could not color my hair that was different colors from not only dying it from brown 2 blonde but had quite a few gray hairs showing threw and wanted 450 dollars i was almost n tears n this place said it was about to close i called and my luck no answer but i left a message n hopes n 2 my suprise they called me back n mins n saw me right away needless to say she worked far beyond her closing hours and she not only saved my hair so that i didnt have to cut most of it off but helped exsplain y i would b better off dying it w a dark color rather then damaging my hair even further n cost was well worth it she also went over everything i would need to no to get the longest life out of my extensions but also asked how i would wear my hair tobest place the exstentions she showed me all diffrent ways i can wear them without having the beeds show threw and made sure to check all possible ways to make sure nothing pulled we did find one and she fixed it the correct way by removing the beed and placing it back in so it did not pull she was amazing and i plan to see her every time im so glad the other place fell threw cause they just wanted to rush me threw where she spent almost 3hrs past clossing so i could have my hair done since i had my trip out of state i cam to leave for n 2days i would recomend her to anyone and is worth far more then i was charged the only thing i wish i wiuld have done diffrent is i wished i had known more about nano beeds for a few dollars more they r far smaller and all she charges is for the diffrence in the cost for hair the installation is the same i plan to get nanos next time when the hair needs full replacing also she very upbeat friendly and she makes this killer drink of coffee and tea that is better then any starbucks i ever had and im a very picky person but it tasted really good so make sure to try her coffee ps just keep in mind its made sweet so dont ask for alot of suger i had 2 tea spoons and it was perfect for anyone who likes sweet drinks ps i thought my hair was pulling and aum how ended up pulling out a few exstentions she got me n right away fixed them right away and slid the rest diwn so it didnt hurt since im a wimp lol but she didnt even charge me to fix what i did im so greatful u wint go wrong getting ur hair done here she is the best and normally i dont post reviews unless there bad but she impressed me time and again thank u wig it 2

I love coming here! The staff is kind, helpful, and always attentive to my needs. Several weeks ago, Vee gave me a natural twist out and my looked beautiful! The curls were defined and my hair felt nourished. I first went here a year and a half ago, and I've been coming back regularly, each time they do a great job!

In the seven years that I have rocked my Sisterlocs, I have never had a worst experience. Being new in town, I check out the Sisterlocs website to see the qualified consultants and trainees in my area. I’m coming from San Diego, where you literally can find a consultant on every corner. Here in the Central Valley, that was not the case. Pertaining to the four people I called, only this Salon responded. All of whom are qualified trainees. I spoke with the owner, Ms. Lisa. She seemed really sweet. I gave her a brief description of my hair (the number of locs, my last retighten, etc.) and asked about their availability. I was set up with Ms. Vee. It had been about five weeks since my last retighten which has been my normal rotation for three years. As soon as I get to the salon for my appointment, I can sense something off. Ms Vee seems to have an attitude. I am a new client. I don’t know her and she doesn’t know me, but she makes me feel unwelcome. Later while she’s doing my hair she tells me that she didn’t expect me to have so many locs. This explains the attitude from earlier. Mind you I told the owner about my hair, but the information wasn’t relayed to Ms. Vee. It took her eight hours to finish my hair. It normally takes my regular consultant about three and a half. So I’m thinking she’s only a trainee and she probably doesn’t have a lot of experience. She was extremely slow, but she tightened every loc. I’m hesitant to book again, but I decide I’ll just book with Ms. Lisa next time. I assume she’s older and she probably knows more about Locs. Concerning my appointment with Ms. Lisa, it had been eight weeks since the last retighten. My hair was longer than normal. I talked to Ms. Lisa about it. She reassures me she will get me taken care of and is exceptional with her customer service while I sit in her chair. She tells me she has been doing locs for years. It takes her about five to six hours which is understandable since I have more new growth. When she finishes, I look at my hair. It looks fine around the edges. I pay $175 plus tip and she sets up future appointments for me. When I get home that night I start feeling through my hair. I notice there is an entire section in the back of my head that feels like it wasn’t touched at all. Normally after a retighten the head feels a little sore from the locs being tighten to the scalp. My head didn’t feel that way. I start to feel every loc and notice that most are not tightened all the way down. I’ve never had to check any consultants work for completion. I’ve had situations where consultants let me know, “hey you have too much hair for one appointment, let’s break this up into two sessions” or “no you have too much hair for me. I only do this many inches”. I do have a lot of hair and it’s not for everyone. Ms. Lisa never mentioned anything to me. She didn’t complete the job and I paid for her half-done work which is extremely unprofessional. I book an appointment with a friend who lives three hours away in LA two weeks later. Only two weeks from my rubbish appointment with Ms. Lisa and it still took my friend over three hours to retighten my hair properly. Which means it wasn’t done right. I call Ms. Lisa because she deserves to know that her work was unprofessional and unacceptable. She repeatedly denies any wrong doing. She lies to me consistently during our phone call and does not own up to her mistakes. I am extremely disappointed in her lack of professionalism. I will never go back to this salon and I encourage people with Sisterlocs to find a different consultant. Update: I’ve had zero issues with consultants before visiting this salon as I mentioned in my original post. People in the Sisterloc community are the nicest and most competent people I have run into. This was NOT the case here. If I pay for a service, I expect to receive the service I paid for. Her response to this post proves she doesn’t understand this. The lack of experience and professionalism shows in all levels of this business. It would serve Ms. Lisa well to reevaluate her business practices.

Very disappointed my daughter hair has not been up a week and it looks terrible i asked for a hairstyle and instead of her saying she can’t do it she try to attempt to do it and it looked awful I’m very unsatisfied and I will never take my business there again. I hate to bash people but the owner can not keep up with the new styles however one of her workers are fine buyer beware

I just wanted to buy some clip in hair extensions, drove my fat 8 months pregnant self all the way down here only to find a sign on the door that says “no walk-in’s, appointments only”, and a locked door. I don’t need anything fancy, just some fake hair for my baby shower. I’m mad I wasted my time, so hopefully this helps someone else who thought this was a retail shop.
