All my life I have had issues with finding a stylist who knows how to work with my texture of hair. I remember going to certain salons and having the stylists make jokes about my hair and other people in the salon staring at my hair like it’s some impossible task. Shontia has experience working with all types of hair and did not make me feel “wrong” or “bad” for my hair type. She washed my hair, dyed it, straightened and styled it. She taught me some things about heat damage and how to care for my hair type which can be really dry and break easy if not cared for properly. She embraces diversity of curls and helps people with their individual needs. She was a delight!

Good morning! ☀️ I wanted to give a big thanks to Wildly Tamed Salon for a beautiful curly cut! The environment is so very welcoming as for Shontia I highly recommend her for your curly cut. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way making sure I felt comfortable with the length and styling as she continued to cut to make sure you get the cut/hairstyle your looking for. I came in for more volume and I got exactly that. I feel so confident and beautiful in my new hair cut. I highly encourage for my curly girls to start here if your looking for a fresh cut or your big chop. Ever since I came here Shontia does wonders and my hair is growing, hydrated, and voluminous. I got my first professional curly cut from Shontia a couple months ago and it was amazing! Shontia is so kind and welcoming and helped me embraced my natural curls more. Before my appointment my hair was so flat and dry, but by the end of the session they were so defined and healthy! She also taught me how to maintain my curls throughout the week and showed me how to apply the products she used. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her if you have curls 😊

I was actually recommended by a friend to go see Shontia and she absolutely killed it!!! It’s so hard to find stylists who know how to work with curly hair, and she’s one of the few I’ve ever gone to that did an amazing job. 10/10 I would definitely recommend and I’ll be going to see her again soon.

I was in search for a trusted curly hair stylist when I moved to LA & was honestly super nervous on my search. One day I took a risk and visited Shontia (because of the already wonderful reviews) & she did not disappoint! My curls have been the healthiest they ever been and with VOLUME! 10/10 recommend. I’ve been seeing Shontia for the past year. I really struggled for awhile to find someone who could cut my curly hair and then I found Shontia. Every cut is always great and she is super nice and professional. I highly recommend her for a consistent good haircut. You won’t be disappointed.

My experience with Wildly Tamed was amazing! Shontia is such a kind and chill person, and she really took the time to know exactly what I wanted. Even with my unique hair shape and multiple curl patterns she was able to maintain what I already had while trimming it in a way that would give longevity to the shape. Will definitely be going back!

Shontia has been doing my hair for several years! I’m natural, so I’m pretty particular and don’t just let anyone touch my hair, especially when it comes to braiding styles. I’m always leaving her chair satisfied and confident. On top of the amazing work she does, her attentiveness is like no other and the atmosphere in her salon is ALWAYS warm and welcoming!

Shontia is amazing! She was able to help me find better styling products for my thinner 3a/b hair that wouldn’t weigh down my curls. Even after a few months my hair hasn’t morphed into a triangle (iykyk)

Shontia is an absolutely incredible hairstylist. Not only is she an extremely warm and kind person, but her attention to detail is incredible. She has an extremely keen eye for cutting curly hair, making sure each and every curl is where it needs to be! When I was researching places to cut curly hair in LA, I had a very hard time finding someone. After a long search I have decided that Shontia is the premier curly hairstylist in Los Angeles. Shontia goes so far above and beyond expectations. Her ability to communicate clearly throughout the haircutting process guarantees that you leave looking exactly how you hoped. As long as I am in LA, I will be coming here to get my hair cut!

Where do I start?! I had the best experience with Shontia. Not only is she skillful, knowledgeable, and professional - she is so personable. Such a down to earth, kind spirit which made my visit that much worth it. My curly cut came out just as I wanted and the product application and walkthrough was top tier. Will for sure be going back!
