I went to the salon for the first time about 9 weeks ago. I am an older woman. I asked that my hair be cut short, with layers, and actually look nice as it grew out. I received a great haircut. I felt that the salon charges were high, but I could not have been happier with my cut.

I have never worked with an establishment that cancels and reschedules appointments so much. I first tried to get in with Matt. First appointment rescheduled. Second one straight up cancelled and they offered me another stylist-Erika. She did a decent job and so I made another appointment 8 weeks in advance. The week leading up to it I got three calls. Rescheduled twice and when they attempted the third time I passed and told them I would not be back. They didn’t care at all. No apology or effort to save the business. These people do not value anyone’s time but their own. I’m amazed they are still in business. Do not waste your time or money.

In light of recent reviews 🤣.. Matt has been doing my hair since I was 16, I’m 33 now and he has always been professional. He always treats me with respect, and hit whatever hairstyle I asked for out of the park. His razor cutting skills are unmatched and my hair looks flawless every time I leave Wink. I can not recommend him enough, he is the best!

In light of recent reviews, I remember my horror story at WINK in late August of 2014. I, too, was a teenager and asked for a bright blonde balayage. My stylist (I cannot remember her name, but she had a neon red fauxhawk) took 5 hours on my hair. The manager kept checking on her, as she was clearly new and inexperienced. When I finally got blow dried, my roots were turned a dark brownish RED with little to no blonde added. I cried in the bathroom, and when I asked them to fix it, they said I could come back another day to “tone out the red.” Needless to say, the toner did not work as the red needed to be lifted out and re-colored, but of course they did not offer that. So, I started my first day of high school with the ugliest hair I've ever had. Thanks WINK! I still tell this cautionary story to anyone looking to get their hair done in VB.

Please do not waste your time and money on this establishment. The stylists seem to not be interested in providing the haircut or color you desire. My niece was screamed at and had her head hit on the dryer several times because Matt was not interested in doing his job. Her haircut was bad and she did not get the natural color blended style she signed up for.

Elizabeth is fantastic! She gave me beautiful color/highlights, cut, and style. This is the best my hair has looked in ages. It's apparent that she cares about her craft and her clients! The salon has a cool, easy vibe, and the staff is super friendly.

I love Wink. The salon is full of thoughtful and incredible people. I always have a wonderful experience and am always pleased with the results. I personally love going to see Maggie for my cut and color, but you couldn't go wrong with any of the stylists there.

I really liked coming here for a while. Then one day my stylist, who was very nice, suggested we go a little richer in color so thinking itd only be a little bit I said sure. My hair turned bright red, like my hair was reddish brown, but they made it firetruck red almost. My work wont let me have hair like that so I said we have to change it. They told me to give it a day or two and let it fade but a few days later it was still bright red. I called multiple times and asked to have it fixed, i wasnt shouting or demanding a refund, all i wanted was for it to be fixed. At first i was talking to the receptionist and then the manager. The manager, no joke, said something along the lines of "they worked very hard on your hair and it looks fine," then they HUNG UP ON ME. I wish i could say that I enjoyed my experience but the manager absolutely ruined any positive experiences i had had. This was a while ago so i dont remember everything verbatim, but they very literally hung up on me and left me scrambling to find another salon to fix it. Part of me says yea its good that they support their stylists but at the same time i wasnt being ridiculous and asking for my money back, i just wanted the color to be corrected and was shut down and ignored by the managing staff. Go here if you dont gave to follow any strict hair rules at your job or anything, its a nice salon, but if you have any issue with your hair they wont work with you to fix it.

I've been going to this salon for around 15 years and it's amazing every time. They are knowledgeable about the latest styles, have great products in stock, and the stylists are extremely talented.
