Sorry for the late post. Last week, I was looking for a curly haircut for my daughter. You know how hard it is to find a curly haircut salon. I took a chance to take my daughter to Works of Art Salon. This place is awesome and friendly. Spindle made my daughter feel comfortable and asked her questions while getting her haircut. Thank you, Spindle! My daughter left so happy at this place. That means she’s happy, I’m happy. We will be back! 😊

Comfortable, friendly, and professional. Spindle made me feel quite at home immediately, with a “jobs not done till your satisfied attitude” I will be coming back for my next hair cut. 10/10 I left super happy with my cut.

After years in LA I’ve finally found the perfect salon. The owner Art is a treasure of a human being who is uniquely caring and profoundly talented. He took so much time listening to me, making sure I felt comfortable and completely heard. He fixed the work of another salon and made me feel gorgeous, confident and sexy. He’s the first stylist I’ve met who is equally skilled at both haircuts and color. It’s also the first time my curls have been accentuated and nurtured so my natural beauty could shine through. Life is full of surprises and meeting Art has me believing in the good in the world again. Can’t wait til my next visit.

I’ve been going to Art for nearly five years now and he’s given me my soul hair. Went from a near peroxide mullet (don’t judge me) to a copper Dakota Johnson and it’s been all him. Constantly am getting compliments and recommending him. Love him to death !! Also probably one of the coolest people I know in LA whilst also been a stella human being.

Art is wonderful! He’s a hair magician, perfectionist, yet very time efficient. Did a wonderful job on my platinum hair and gave my pixie one of the best cuts in a while. I will be coming back.

I had such an amazing experience with Art. He really cares about the work that he does and will do everything to ensure that you get the desired outcome for your hair. I had been dealing with grown out and damaged bleached hair for a while, and he took the time to give me a consultation before scheduling an appointment since what I needed wasn’t simple. I knew from then that my hair was in good hands and the results did not disappoint. Art is also the most friendly person and makes you feel heard and cared for. 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants an outstanding and personable hair stylist!

Spindle was an absolute delight, respected me by checking with me before changing any hair lines even after I told him to do whatever he wanted. Steady hands, warmest heart, BEST SCALP MASSAGE EVER my stress dribbled right out my ears. The studio is so comfortable of a vibe, beautiful art, super friendly folks.

UPDATE: every time I come, I'm amazed at the longevity of Arts haircuts. The shape holds up as my hair grows -- probably for 2-3 months. That's really so impressive to me Art is wonderful with men's curly hair. Grateful to have found this place. Top-tier service. Comfortable atmosphere. Fair prices, especially for the quality. Highly recommend and will absolutely be going back.

I'm a new client and I was very impressed. The space is inviting with plenty of natural lighting. Parking in the rear is convenient, and it's right across from the Kismet Restaurant. Ask for Spindle—they're a recent addition to the salon and beyond fantastic!

Spindle Webb did an amazing job with my hair! He was very thoughtful and did a thorough consultation prior to getting started with my hair cut. He was also very pleasant to get to know. The atmosphere was also professional yet cozy. I will definitely be visiting this salon again.

I love this place and I SO appreciate Art. I will only be going here to get my hair cut from here on out. My last hair cut before I came here was a bit of a mess, so I came to Art with a challenge (to fix some botched side bangs) and he exceeded all of my expectations. He knew exactly what to do, listened to what I wanted, and stayed late to make sure my hair looked WONDERFUL. He is incredibly talented and I left loving my hair!!

Art is brilliant with hair and he’s an absolute gem of a human! I walked out looking and feeling amazing— he asked all the right questions and I left skipping down the stairs with the perfect blonde bob. When I left his shop that evening (an absolutely beautiful space btw) I was stopped by two people asking where I got my hair done. Needless to say, they also loved Art’s work ✂️ a true artist.

After meeting thousands of stylists at a hair show, I chose Art to cut my hair! He's extremely talented, patient, and considerate of my needs. He cut my hair super well and styled it very nicely. Highly recommend! His studio is also extremely beautiful, in a walkable neighborhood, has tons of natural light, airy, and open!

Art is amazing! Superb blond highlights that look natural and didn't stress or dry out my hair. He is also the only stylist I've ever had who gives me a cut that keeps getting better as it grows out. Not kidding, he gave me -hands down- the best cut of my life and I only wish I would've found him sooner! He takes his time and works with you to get the best possible look for your hair texture, condition and lifestyle.

Art is the best hair stylist in LA! He’s a miracle worker, color or cut he can make it happen. Moreover, there’s no one better to sit and spend 4 hrs with - kind, funny, and personable. And the space is beautiful- some of the best sunset views. Cannot recommend him and the salon enough. 10/10.

I called Art at 6:30pm Saturday night and I said I needed a cut. He stayed late for me, washed and conditioned my hair, gave me a beautiful Men’s salon style cut, and I’m feeling like a king. I Finally found a place that’s not strictly a barbershop! He’s my regular now.

I live in SF but make it a point to go out of my way and see Art whenever I’m in town. He always manages to strike a balance between styles and ideas for cuts that I’m used to while pushing me to try new, exciting ideas that always leave me satisfied. Definitely check him out.

Love, Love, Love my hair. The 5 hour drive was totally worth it. Art is a professional and was able to give me the hair cut and color I wanted. He is super talented and yes I will be coming back to get my hair done with only him from now on.

So glad I listened to the reviews here because I got a haircut from Art this past weekend and I don't want anyone else to cut my hair again!! I showed him inspo photos of layered cuts and he customized my hair to my face shape while still giving me the exact layered look I wanted! Very much recommend.

What a great experience! I absolutely love my hair. I went in to this experience nervous and not knowing what to expect, since I hadn’t cut or even trimmed my hair in almost 5 years, and had finally decided to chop it off and start fresh (ended up getting some highlights too which turned out super clean!). Art was extremely patient and kind and asked a lot of questions to make sure he gave me what I was looking for. I’m so glad I trusted him because my hair turned out AMAZING! He made the experience so fun and comfortable with his conversation, good music, and cool art in the salon; truly made me feel at home and eased my worries. Highly recommend for anyone, and especially folks with wavy/slightly curly hair texture (it’s always tough finding stylists who can work with your curls instead of against them) and I absolutely love my new hair!!

Works of Art is a wonderful space! It is whimsy and warm, full of plants and paintings on the wall. Beyond that, Art himself is very attentive and dedicated to hair; haircuts really are works of art here. I have very long curly hair and Art took the time and care to give it the volume and definition that it craved. 💕💕

Art is amazing! First person to actually nail what I want - very good at women's cuts and most recently I got a full head of highlights that also look amazing!! (Also they took ~2 hours as opposed to pushing 3-4 like i've experienced elsewhere) He also cut my bf's long hair and again - 10/10. Prices are super reasonable. After going to a different salon for years every time I needed my hair done (because I never LOVEDDD any one place enough to be a return customer) I now am uninterested in going to anyone but Art!!
