When a slavic old gentleman w a funny wool hat politely asks if he could “towel the air”, then proceeds to give everyone an amazing sauna experience, you know you are in for a great authentic banya time. I could barely understand my masseuse for the signature scrub treatment, but they still managed to make me feel super comfortable through the venik platza and salt honey scrub. Don’t be spooked if they ask you to change into a disposable swimsuit outfit! Tips- come weekdays or super early to avoid crowds. Dont forget sandals and water bottles!

It’s a really nice spa with a bunch of amenities. The major issue here is that no one follows the rules. When you come to a spa, you’re usually coming to relax. I and some other customers had walked out multiple rooms when new people came in loudly and started talking and overcrowding the spaces. You also have customers carrying their phones into the amenities taking pictures whilst you are trying to relax. The major problem is that the staff needs to remind people to be more mindful. Also, for the price of the admission, they didn’t include any slippers. If you forget to bring your own, it’s about $20. Pretty lousy thing.

Lovely place to unwind. Arrived late and the staff was super accommodating with the scrub treatment I purchased. Place is clean and mostly odour free. Bites are good, I’ll fine with an appetite next time and try their food.

This is á beautiful place to escape the city and relax for a whole day , especially on a winter cold day. We really loved the performances they organize. The whole staff is very nice. Looking forward to spend more amazing days there

Well maintained excusite spa. The robes are roomy and comfortable never felt like the robe was going to open up and that's important to me. All the spa rooms were very warm (steam rooms could get a bit too hot for my taste but I'm sure others would disagree with me on this. The staff were warm and welcoming. The restaurant food was yummy. Definitely would come back again. Highly recommend.

I spent an hour on hold while the customer service agent tried to figure out whether or not I could reschedule an appointment I had made 10 minutes prior for the wrong date accidentally. It was the worst experience I’ve had for a spa in NY that should have someone easily ready to reschedule an appointment.

Great experience all around & would definitely return. I’m an avid fan of the Russian banya, and knew going into this, that it would be an ‘elevated experience’ of the same. I was not disappointed. While the entry fee is higher than your standard banya/spa, it certainly makes up for it by way of variety & cleanliness. Don’t get me wrong - I can definitely get behind a grungy banya experience lol, but you’re definitely getting what you pay for here. The entire space is in seriously pristine condition, and there were several staff members cleaning up behind guests around the clock. There are several options to choose from, between saunas/steam rooms, pools, cold/hot tubs, etc.,. We opted to go during the week (early afternoon) because I know better than to go anywhere popular in NYC on the weekends, and it was the right decision. Most of the time, there was no one else in the rooms, and at most a few people. I didn’t opt to try the food based on reviews I’d read, so I can’t speak to that, but I did catch a glimpse of what some other guests were eating & it looked good. Location wise it’s pretty deep in Brooklyn, kind of in the middle of nowhere, but the F train line gets off right in front for those who aren’t driving in. Overall, great experience & will definitely be back!

Not a place for a massage. My therapist wore latex gloves the entire time and made me keep my swimsuit on. The Turkish steam was nice so that's why it's gets 2 stars

The facilities are amazing, everything beautiful and brand new. The saunas also spacious and well operated. We were a bit uncomfortable with the amount of visitors, but we tried to be understanding as it was a weekend. But i was really shocked with behaviour of some guests. There was the ritual in Russian sauna, and several guests behaved defiantly. They shouted, jumped on the benches up and down, brought the huge piece of ice from the ice room and left it on the bench (nobody asked them, it wasn’t part of the ritual), also they were throwing the snow balls to the stove. I would recommend that the stuff inform visitors in advance about the simple code of conduct that everybody should behave respectfully to each other in a way not to bother other visitors. Sauna is the place for relaxation.

This place is awesome , the best spa in N.Y.C AREA ,hands down you will especially relax in the Olympic size body temperature pool . i especially love the aroma therapy in the steam filled room of eucalyptus . don't miss out on the sauna sessions at 4:00 & 6:00. you can thank me later for putting you on to this brooklyn gem

Everything fantastic from beginning to leaving. My mom celebrated her 94th birthday on that day and can't stop talking to her friends about this Spa. This time all the pools we went in were working appropriately. In fact I didn't want to leave the pools. Jacuzzi vents were working. Pool massage vents were working ... at least the end one. We also attended 2 complimentary heated event. Whew! that was a hot experience!!

Love this place. Huge variety of hot tubs, cold plunges, steam rooms, a snow room, and saunas in all different temperatures. And even more. Everything is always clean and nice and they have good food as well.

Today was my first day at this spa, the rooms are beautiful but not big enough for the many people, I went with my daughter and we had to wait for some of the rooms to have some space available. I went there to unwind and relax because I travel quit a bit and it was total disappointment with people talking on their phones in the steam rooms , pools etc. Taking videos , selfies it was like a zoo a no phone policy should be in effect. In the steam rooms everyone is talking loud and I could not relax I kept leaving one room to go into another not to mention the food servers were not on point ridiculous, apart from having something floating in my daughters glass of water the waiter dumped both glasses with out replacing the bottle of water we bought. I would not go back, there are plenty of spas and bath houses in manhattan closer to me where I can go to, I’ve been to spas in other countries around the world even in Dubai where non of this nonsense takes place.

Food is good and fresh. Saunas, pools and steams are amazing. They could use better washroom products and bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated

Customer Service died. I mistakenly booked a massage for 6 but needed it for 7. I asked to switch it for 7 and they said I could if I bought another reservation. Basically they just didn’t want to do their job which is unfortunate

Spent 6 hours here! So clean and gorgeous with interesting amenities. A snow room, many polar plunge pools, and showers where you can pull a rope and cold water pours on you. These all lead me to be able to stay in saunas longer. They also offer really interesting and free “events” which are sauna rituals from Europe! I attended one where the sauna master placed scents inside ice balls and put them on the hot stones. Then he performed a towel dance that whisked the scents and heat in all of our faces — all of this choreographed to music! The experience was so special .

This was my first spa experience. I went last Saturday with my boyfriend and was blown away. So relaxing and luxurious! The staff was so kind and accommodating. The ambiance, the sauna rooms, the smells, everything was just divine. The 4 hour pass was just enough. It was a wonderful experience.

Young inexperienced “managers” mismanaged the schedule and then refused remuneration or to reschedule when half the appointment time was lost due to their ineptitude, And they were really rude to boot!

Second best spa in NYC. Very relaxing and saunas are great. However, they don’t provide slippers for you. Also their shampoo and body wash are very drying and I would recommend bringing your own.
