Took my heart daughter there for the first time today. We had a wonderful experience. Both of our stylists were knowledgeable and able to give us hair that made us feel good about how we looked.

Their interpretation of your description of what you want doesn’t match. I even brought multiple photo examples. I have the same hair type as the models in the photos. I was surprised because this is supposed to be a good salon.

Ashley was the best. She spent time doing a consultation with me so we were on the same page. She understood exactly what I wanted. She asked great questions to know what color blonde I wanted since I wasn’t the best at explaining the color and cut. We were both very happy with it! It really got me in a good mood.

My experience with Wyomissing Hair Studio was absolutely amazing. I came in today (03/14/24) for a cut and color. I called yesterday to see if I could use a voucher I had. The staff member who took my call (I think her name is Laura or Laurel) was so sweet and kind. I didn’t anticipate they could get me in anytime soon, but I was able to be fit in the next day! I had my appointment with Ashley T. Ashley went above and beyond throughout the process. She looked at my hair, asked me about my wants as well as any concerns I had. She immediately realized that I have naturally curly hair. Now, for my fellow curly girls we all know it’s a struggle to get a good cut. But with Ashley she recognized how to handle the situation. I don’t know how she worked such magic, but my hair looks and feels SO much healthier. My curls are defined, the frizz is gone, and my hair feels so bouncy and fresh. She also colored my hair (single process) and she explained which color(s) might work best for my situation. I am over the moon about the results. I really am so thankful not just for Ashley’s skills, but also for the time she took to explain each part of the process, as well as for her incredible kindness.

I loved this place, I'm definitely going back when I need my hair done again. The service was great, people were kind and sociable, the lady that did my hair obviously knew what she was doing, and she did an excellent job giving me a perm for my favorite look 😁

I scheduled a gift haircut and color for my friend as a surprise. Boy was she surprised! But first, the receptionist - Laurel - was the rudest woman I've ever dealt with. She certainly should not be dealing with any customers. Then she had an appointment with Ms. Nelson- the owner. She did not listen at all to her hairstyle and cut requests! Also she was very rude and rushed her, even as a new customer. She was slapping her hair around like she was swatting a fly. We had no idea that they consider their customers as insects! Needless to say, my friend was completely unsatisfied and will not be returning to this salon.

My daughter and I went here for the first time and loved our experience with Gabi and Jen! Now I know why they’re called hair architects. Jen took they time to explain the best way to care for my hair structure and styled it so well. Gabi recommended the right style for my daughter and now she can’t stop smiling about her hair. Terrible haircut for my son. When I called to book I went with who they gave me. Bad idea, I should've known better. I showed her a picture of what my son wanted and she said "it'll never look like that with his type of hair". His hair was the same texture as the picture shown. He had beautiful curls at his neck and I told her he wanted to keep them and to ONLY cut off the dead ends. Omg he came out looking like he had a bowl cut and his sideburns...don't even get me started. My aunt who cuts hair in Maryland took one look at it and said let me fix This. I'm not going here anymore. Edit 8/18/23- I changed my review to 4 stars because the shop owner reached out to me to offer her apologies. She sent me $50 worth of gift cards for another visit. I appreciate her attempts to make it right.

We love the wyomissing hair gallery. We have been clients for years and my entire family goes here. We all have different stylists but they are all equally amazing. The owner is also very nice and personable.

December 6th, Overall, very nice staff, good customer service. BUT I was quoted LESS THAN $175 at the consultation to go dark brown from very outgrown Balayage with wash and style. I have very curly thick hair. The hair stylist goes over my hair with the hair dryer once & very fast & rushing? i guess she wanted to go home, it was 8/8:30pm, I understand. I asked if she could go over my hair with the straightener & she did. When I went to pay, it went up to $190 somehow? I guess its extra if you want it straightened, I thought it was a part of styling. I don’t know. Anyways, it is December 26 & my dark brown is fading & I can see my balayage again. Would not return here.

I love this hair salon because my hairstylist Caitlin is fantastic. She knows how to straighten my hair and curl it too. she’s super friendly, polite, pretty, and kind. I go to her every Saturday, and I will not go anywhere else. She knows what she’s doing. Wyomissing Hair Studio has become my second home. The owner is a lovely lady who always compliments me about my hair and whatever problem I have she will take care of it.

Very friendly staff from the reception area to the stylists. The inside is warm and inviting. They do a great job of maintaining a clean and tidy area. Alyssa, the stylist, did a great job. Will return again for sure.

EDIT: The manager offered to give me a full refund, but I will never go back. The stylist here fried my hair to the point that it was white and breaking off. Even though I was booked for four hours, she rushed me out in under two by using foils and putting me under a heat lamp (when I was supposed to be getting a balayage service), claiming that she needed to “speed things up” and that there was “no time” to account for the highlights that I already had. My number one priority that I communicated with this stylist was that I wanted subtle balayage highlights and to preserve my natural hair color (strawberry blonde). I cannot understand why she over-foiled my hair and created a line of demarcation with new highlights. They were also dismissive when I went back to get it fixed. My hair was the epitome of health before I went here. They have absolutely no business charging the prices that they charge for such poor quality work! They know nothing about customer service! I regret trusting them with my hair. — I had positive experiences at Wyomissing Hair Studio until I went in to get my balayage from a different salon touched up. I wasn’t new to balayage, and the stylist that I booked my appointment with seemed quite confident (overconfident apparently) that she knew exactly what she was doing. What I ended up with was NOT balayage. It was not blended well and there was no depth or dimension in my hair. There were obvious horizontal lines where many of the new highlighted pieces were added, and each piece was uniform in color. It looked like grown out foil highlights. The color was too light overall, which is what I had communicated that I didn’t want, but I am wondering if that’s because the stylist used foils instead of plastic wrap and then put me under a heat lamp. The placement of the new highlighted pieces was odd and looked unnatural as well, which made me question whether she had the necessary experience to be offering this service. I have never had this problem at any other salon when getting balayage. Also, the entire process here seemed rushed. She did not ask me for my opinion when she was finished, nor did she offer to show it to me with a hand mirror. Honestly, I got the impression that she did not want to be there that day and was in a hurry to get it over and done with. I contacted the salon on the next business day and explained my situation. They said that they would have the stylist who did the balayage get back to me. I waited 24 hours but no one called me back, so I called the salon again and waited another day before finally reaching out to the manager. The salon offered to fix my hair free of charge but I am still not fully satisfied with it. After their attempt at fixing it, I still do not have balayage. What exactly did I pay $266 for? I was also extremely disappointed in the stylist’s response, or lack thereof, when I tried to reach out to her about it. I had always been very generous with my gratuity each time that I visited the salon for her other services. I even went above and beyond by giving her an outrageously generous tip for the balayage service, out of faith, and just because I understand how thankless some jobs in the service industry can be. I was nothing but kind to her. Yet, she wouldn’t even return my calls to see if she could improve the situation. So unprofessional. If one of my clients was dissatisfied with my services, I would make five minutes for them. I expected to be treated better. The stylist who did my balayage at Wyomissing Hair Studio was the first named when I asked the receptionist who had the most experience with it. Was this honestly the best that this salon has to offer? The stylists at Wyomissing Hair Studio appear to be capable of cutting and styling hair. I never had any issues with that when I would go there with my three daughters for haircuts. The front desk staff is friendly as well. If you’re looking for color services, though, I would definitely recommend going elsewhere.

I am very pleased with the way Caitlin did my hair. She consulted me professionally and gave my hair a much needed and modern haircut and did an amazing caramel balayage on my virgin black hair! She restored my faith in hairdressers again. Definitely recommending and coming back 💕

I asked for a little off and a trim the lady then cut more hair then I wanted and made it way shorter then the photos I showed her when I told her to stop cutting my hair she said she had to continue doing it my hair is now too short to even style it
