I love this place. They are so professional and great at what they do. It's easy to make an appointment or even just walk in, they will all work together to make sure you get taken care of. Big, comfortable, nice space and extremely reasonable price for top quality service. They have my complete loyalty.

This place is great! When you come in they receive your coat and are so welcoming. I got a full head of highlights done and the guys doing my hair took their time and were gentle. They are gentle when washing your hair and the guy who blow dried my hair and cut it did an amazing job. I left with the color I wanted and with shiny and soft hair.

They do an awesome root touch up!! Got my color right both times and also cheapest I’ve seen in NY. Absolutely will be back here! **Edit** Adding to this review, after 3 root touch-ups here the last one was a total mess 😭 very splotchy results! Not sure if I will come back here again due to inconsistent quality.

Review NOT based on my experience with my blowdry, it was perfectly good and well priced. Review based on the fact that this establishment has an 8% (yes 8) surcharge for CC payments (not legal) and had no receipts available for cash payments. Literally zero ways of tracking any payment. I asked for a receipt and they refused, after calling the manager they went out to buy a receipts block - which I am know went straight into the trash as I exited.

I recommend calling before coming in and making an appointment as they only have 3 stylists in total. Other than that, the salon has a very friendly, calm, and clean vibe. They make sure to ask you follow up questions and make sure it’s what you want. I refer all of my family and friends here! Definitely check them out.

My friend and I got a balayage and highlights done at Xcellent Hair Bar. They were very easy to get in touch with via text and responsive to questions about their services and costs. They provided another brief consultation before the appointment and checked in with us during to make sure it was what we wanted. The procedure was very smooth and efficient. They had 2 stylists working on each of us. Overall, we’re very happy with the results and highly recommend everyone there!

Can’t comment on their color services, but I got a haircut on my shoulder length hair here. It was very very mid and when I glanced at the time I noticed they spent 15 minutes on my haircut. I was kind of surprised because it felt like they rushed it and didn’t take the time and care. It was a weeknight so there was one other woman in the salon. It ended up being almost $40 (hair cut only) including tip. Kind of upsetting esp bc I live in the neighborhood and would’ve rlly liked to have a good salon option nearby.

my hair before and after a keratin treatment. my hair was also dyed black and it completely washed away. asked about going in to fix it but they seemed hesitant to fix it for free. scalp was burnt. keratin was applied while my hair was wet and overall it didn’t even last a month. they seemed quick to get me in and out of the chair.

I came here a few months ago and wanted to go a bit darker but still have some blonde in my hair. They did a good job but totally not what I asked for. I left with dark brown / ashy hair when I wanted something warmer. It also washed out in two days despite the fact that I spent 400$. It was an okay experience. Definitely will be trying somewhere new.

Quick service for a walk in, very reasonable pricing for root touch up and blow dry. Attentive staff. Plan on returning for keratin and color!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE I dyed my hair here in 2022 and still until this day I am suffering the consequences of their horrible work. I went blonde from virgin black hair, they did it all in one session leaving my hair disgusting and brittle and my hair was a mess and still is a mess. And the blonde they gave me was absolutely horrible I left the salon with SILVER hair! I have lost around 50% of my hair as an aftermath. If there is one thing I regret in life is going to this salon!! Horrible experience! DO NOT GO HERE. Ive wrote reviews in the past and they always deleted my reviews.

I never get my hair cut - too many factors! But I like coming here because it’s low maintenance- you sit, you tell them what you want, it gets done. Great cuts and color- staff is terrific.

Like the name of their salon, they do a very excellent job here. They are very truthful with their suggestions on what to do and how to do your hair or scalp. Their products are high-end, expensive, and quality proven. Excellent! The staff and their service are most amazing and polite. I love coming in here for a very calm, warm welcoming vibe. They may not talk much but they do very exquisite work. They always make u feel beautiful. Kudos to you guys! Jason, my guy! You’re always the best! I’ve known you since 2011 and you never change but better character. Thank you for making me feel beautiful always and my hair! Julie, you’re the best also. They did a wonderful job washing with blowing my hair with care. They’re very nice towards me and caring thank you guys so much. I would recommend bringing family and love ones here. If I was you guys bring cash when doing hair they did have a small tax fee on credit cards no big deal. After all this place is nice again thank you !

This is my second time getting a haircut with Jason, and I’m consistently impressed with his skills. My hair was very damaged, but Jason did a fantastic job reviving it. He thoroughly removed all the split ends and gave my hair much-needed body. Beyond the haircut, the salon offers a wonderful hair washing experience that feels like a spa treatment. The salon itself is very neat, and the equipment is well-maintained. Additionally, the price is very reasonable for the neighborhood. I highly recommend the salon to anyone looking for a talented team in a relaxing and professional environment.
