I visited XEX for the first time to fix my balayage, and Stacey did an incredible job. She knew exactly how to fix what I wanted. She was very thorough and asked for my opinion every step of the way. I love my hair color so much now!! Also very reasonably priced (and they have a student discount). Cannot wait to go back!

Highly recommend Kristina for any hair type, especially curly/coarse hair. Like so many curly girls, I have major trust issues with stylists. But, from the moment I was in her chair, I knew I was in good hands. Kristina listens to what her clients want and delivers!!

I had my first appointment here for a haircut last week. The facility is very clean and welcoming. The staff are all incredibly kind. Aaron is a top notch barber and very personable. I have known him for several years and would recommend him to anyone!

I have received two haircuts at XEX. I enjoyed my first appointment with Victoria. We started with a consultation and Victoria made sure that she understood what I wanted before the haircut and that I understood everything she was doing during the haircut. She asked questions and gave me to opportunity to provide feedback and get what I wanted from the appointment. Victoria also provided advice on how to style my hair. This appointment exceeded my expectations and I decided to return to XEX for another haircut. My second appointment was with TJ. I started by showing him a reference picture and he told me that he could do "the same haircut but better", offering no advice for me or insight into what he planned to do during the haircut. I had assumed during our "consultation" that he wouldn't deviate from the reference photo, however, TJ completely ignored both my reference picture and my request to not cut my hair too short. Not only that, but the haircut also looked unprofessional. I left with uneven bangs and parts of my hair were not blended. I would have liked to have seen TJ's work beforehand or been told about his experience because I'm sure that he is not used to cutting certain hair styles and types. Part of this experience was my fault as I did not specify how much I wanted cut off, despite TJ not asking and the picture clearly showing a longer hairstyle than what I received. The prices are reasonable given the location, the environment is comfortable, and the staff that I have met are very friendly. XEX is a great salon as long as the right staff is working with you. I hope to return once my hair grows back.

Victoria gave me the most beautiful, layered hair cut and blow out and officially converted me into a lifetime client! So happy to finally have a salon that I love, and it doesn't hurt that my husband loves them as well!

Called as a first time customer to get pricing for a general haircut and others services.. the receptionist had a very bad attitude, informed me that the website prices were incorrect and proceeded to tell me a second time with an attitude “I already told you this is the set price, I don’t know why they have not updated website I already told them to do that”. Unprofessional and will definitely not be coming here.

I loved my hair style!! I wanted an understated, elegant look for a wedding I was attending. Victoria was on time, friendly and listened to what I was looking for. She was so kind and efficient, I couldn't have asked for more. I received many compliments on my hair at the event. Highly recommend this salon.

Nelson was amazing 10/10!!! It was like he was able to read my mind. He knew what I wanted, but also what I needed. While he cut my hair, he also explained his process and helped me understand my hair better. I have never encountered a hairstylist this considerate of their clients, and I will only be going to Nelson for haircuts going forward!

This review is long overdue. I saw Kris in February for a perm. When she was combing out my hair, she combed harshly through the tangles in my hair from root to tip instead of detangling the tips gently. I’ve seen her previous work so I’m not sure if she was having a bad morning. My perm came out uneven. The bangs are curly closer to the roots and then straight at the bottom. The hair in the back closer to my neck did not even curl. I followed the instructions and waited 72 hours before getting my hair wet. However, the results were apparent even on the first day after I left XEX salon. I’m really sad because it’s my first perm and I was excited. The results on the stylist’s Instagram are pretty good so I’m not sure what went wrong with mine.

Brianna was super helpful in making and adjusting appointments! Ilisa did wonderful taking care of our nails, was very personable, and had great stories to tell! Would go to her again for our next Mani Pedi! Also, the salon was very clean, updated, and decorated beautifully!

My first hair appt after relocating was with Nelson at XEX Salon…and what he did for me is truly FABULOUS! I’d let my hair “go” during my move but Nelson is highly skilled & able to access the entire “situation” and knew exactly what to do! In addition to that the Salon is cool, relaxing, fun and personally Nelson reminded me of the hairdresser’s I’ve missed from the SF Bay area where I used to live! Articulate, Fun, Efficient, He LISTENS, He Gets It: this Hair & Salon is R-I-G-H-T For Me. I feel extremely fortunate! Thank You Nelson and XEX Salon! P.S: As a Headhunter & former owner of a Global Search Firm I can easily identify those who genuinely want to be helpful Vs people who could care less. My first extremely positive experience with XEX Salon was having the good fortune of being helped by Brianna: She understood my apprehension, answered all my questions with zero attitude…and is a valuable asset to the Salon! My review is on Ilisa, the nail technician: First time I came here was a few months ago with a Groupon but I keep coming back now. When Ilisa does my no-chip, it truly stays on for 3-4 weeks. My cuticles have become healthy looking and my nails are super cute, thanks to her! She has plenty of colors to choose from and lovely designs. I also enjoy chatting with her. Highly recommended!

Esma is the best! This was my second time seeing her. The first time I got a blonde baylage and I was getting compliments on my hair 4 months after I got it done. Just was in for my second baylage and she gave me the best blonde transformation! She’s wonderful and takes her time to make sure it blends perfect!

I've never gotten my hair colored professionally so I was really nervous walking into my full balayage. but Kris did an amazing job and I can't wait to get back in there next time. The entire time she also made sure to pause and ask if I like what was happening or if I wanted her to go lighter of darks or change it completely. highly recommend Kris for any first-time hair colorers!
