I use to go here and Cathrine would cut my hair great but the last couple of times I wanted Cathrine I got passed along to a less experienced stylist , the last cut I had was not done the way it was suppose to be done I got a bob as I always do and the girl added layers and thinned it out to much me ends would flip instead of lay under or straight I messaged Cathrine personally and instead of telling me to come in to fix it or look it over she tells me to just wait until it grows out or grows out more , very insensitive so I went to another salon who fixed it to my liking not to mention the prices difference was astronomical & very affordable $45 for cut shampoo , hair mask , blow dry and style !!!!! Hair 360 I recommend her name is Rebecca she did amazing and the owner is sweet if you want a good service for your money where they care please I recommend going here and checking it out !!! Instead of paying $120 in this economy that’s outrageous Not to mention, they hire people straight out of school, so they care more about hair coloring, and they will pass you off to an unexperienced person they are more about there look than anything else very expensive I won’t be going here anymore not to mention every time I went I spent close to $400!! Buying products and all your hair will always look great ten first time lol

I’ve been going to XO for about two years, and from my very first appointment with Amara, I knew I had found my go-to stylist. She is incredibly talented and equally kind, always offering honest, thoughtful recommendations while taking the time to talk through all my options. I typically see her every 3-4 months for coloring, and whatever magic she works on my hair always lasts far longer than I expect. Her attention to detail and intentionality make every visit a great experience. Amara creates a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere, and I always leave her chair feeling confident. I highly recommend booking with her!

Alexa, my wife’s stylist, did an absolutely amazing job on my wife’s hair. She said Alexa gave her the best scalp massage she’s ever gotten and made her feel like she really took the time to ensure she received the best service possible. I always hear about these expensive salons from my wife, but never has she come home to energized and relaxed and satisfied with the outcome. 6/5 stars, Alexa! Doubt my wife will ever go anywhere else. Worth every dollar

Christina's open communication helped provide an understanding and clarification for what you are looking to achieve. She discussed my concerns for maintenance and home care and she was able to offer suggestions in products to help me succeed without being pushy. She also explained the difference in options for color I wanted and delivered a beautiful color/cut combo.

I had a consultation here for a blonde/brown split dye. The goal was a cool-toned platinum blonde on my left side. After discussing my hair history and goal with the stylist, she told me it should be feasible within a couple of appointments. I had two appointments for the split dye. She was not able to get me as blonde as she said she would be able to nor was she able to achieve a uniform color. I didn’t think it was a big deal and I chalked it up to her not knowing my hair history beyond what I could communicate to her as a non hair professional. On my third appointment, I told the stylist I was over the split dye. It wasn’t terrible, it just never looked the way I wanted it to. On top of that, the root upkeep was too much, and I didn't want to have to continue to damage my hair to keep it up. I showed her several photos of what I wanted done: a cooler-toned brown balayage with a darker root to match my natural hair. She said that in order to do that, she would have to lift my right side. I said that wasn’t a problem. She then recommended I do a color block instead. We looked at a few color block inspo photos on my phone together. The last photo showed a warm medium brown as the base. She told me she had previously saved the same photo because she also liked it. I agreed that it was cute, reiterated that I wanted it to be cool-toned, and that was the end of our discussion. Once I realized how dark she made my hair, I was immediately upset. At no point was I told that my hair would be made almost black, especially after spending ~$1k having the left side lightened. I bit my tongue, told the stylist I liked it, paid another $400, and went home hoping I’d like it more after styling it myself. The more I looked at it the more I hated it and the more problems I noticed, like the color block turning out gray. I didn’t want to be the kind of client that complains, but I knew I had to say something given the amount of money that was spent and how unhappy I was. I worked up the courage to message the stylist privately. I thought this would be better than calling the salon and involving another employee. When confronted with her lack of communication, she said the color would fade eventually, yet unevenly, from washing it. I expressed my frustration with that explanation as it didn't explain why she made my hair so dark in the first place. She went on to blame me for joking about using black box dye to cover the split dye. This was a joke I made as I sat down in her chair, before our entire discussion and before showing her the inspo photos, so I am unsure of its relevance here. She offered me a single color removing session to “fix” it, but did not sound confident in being able to get it to a wearable color. She said she would prefer if I allowed it to fade over time. I’m not sure that the color removing session even included toner, although I did ask and got a non-answer. So far, the gray toner has partially washed out of the color block, but the dark base is just as dark. My frustrations are a result of what I feel like was a lack of transparency from the stylist. If I had been given the option between keeping the split dye and going this dark, I would've kept the split dye. I did notice that when she was telling her assistant what things to mix, she requested multiple colors that they were out of. I don’t know if that had anything to do with my hair being the wrong color, just an observation. Every appointment I’ve had here I was double-booked. I think this is standard for this salon, though I don’t know that it’s best practice. When looking for another salon in the future (when I have financially recovered), I’d prefer to be the stylist’s only client during my appointment time. When people are paying $500 to have their hair done, I feel like this isn’t an irrational request. The left side of my head cannot be bleached again. The hair is already compromised, so I am unsure how I will have this fixed. This is not the product I’d expect to end up with after spending the amount of money I did.

Love, love, love Alexa! She always is a ray of sunshine and not to mention those magical hair talents of hers. I’ve had red box dye to prof red on my hair and was looking for a change; she listened to everything I had to say and always asked questions to make sure we were always on the same page to ensure I was happy with the outcome. Not only does my hair look amazing she exceeded my expectations! 10/10 would recommend. She gives her best from simple shampoos to complex hair equations!

I love this salon, the decor was so beautiful especially the flowers on the ceiling. Everyone working there was super nice as well. Christa was my stylist and she was super nice, very knowledgeable and so sweet. She gave me exactly what I wanted and I will definitely be back!

After being a very loyal customer for 2 years, I'm no longer giving XO my business. It's a shame too because I very much like my stylist! Special has always provided great service and gets 5 stars from me. She goes over a detailed outline of what the cost will be prior to the appointment and discusses things in detail if needed. My qualm is with the greedy and impersonal owner; Ash. The policy changed in June to a blow dry no longer being included with a color service. WHAT? What salon does this? $45 extra. Then, just yesterday, I called to cancel my appointment about an hour before due to horrible morning sickness. I told the receptionist I had been throwing up all morning and she came back and told me there would still be a 50% cancellation fee for the appointment. Absolutely laughable and disgusting. The fact that you don't honor a soon-to-be mother's circumstances says a lot about your business model. I understand that salons have policies in place to take care of their stylists, but I literally NEVER cancelled an appointment less than 24 hours notice. This should be taken into account when reviewing someone's request. They ask for feedback at the end of every appointment through an email, but I don't know why because they never do anything with it. Go elsewhere.

Ash and her team are absolutely incredible. I am from Beverly Hills and actually used to have Jessica Simpson's hair stylist's salon, Ken Paves's salon, do my hair! And let me tell you, XO Hair Lab is on that level. Whatever it is that I am looking for, they deliver. They are exceptionally talented. I have referred my mom, my sister, and so many friends. Special shoutout to Ash the owner. Cat & Nicole! Just Amazing!

I never leave a bad review but I really feel the need to in this case. I was left unhappy after a haircut at this salon and after sleeping on it I decided I would call in and ask for a reimbursement. I was called back the same day and was told that I have "medium-fine" hair and that the cut I requested is what I requested and that typically this specific cut is meant for fuller thicker hair. I distinctly asked the stylist her opinion on the cut and how it would look on me and NEVER raised concerns about the thickness of my hair. After explaining that to the owner, she said she would provide a 15% discount because I was unhappy ($12 btw) but that I ultimately got what I wanted. I paid $80 for wash and cut and tipped $25. I have provided before and after pictures below along with the inspo pic. You can be the judge. (Oh, and to the stylist's credit, she did provide the bangs I requested.)

I went to Nicole to brighten my blonde and add more dimension, and got a cut that added more umpf and volume. She is really good at what she does, highly recommend!

Absolutely horrific customer service. I got double booked for a full highlight. I had just sat in the chair when my stylists second appt arrived asking how long it would be. I’m sure she was talented but unfortunately my stylist didn’t have enough time and wrecked my hair. I had to go to a different salon to get it fixed for another few hundred after spending 300+ at XO. I called several times asking to speak with a manager who never called me back. I finally caught her on the phone and asked if she would be willing to compensate me and offered to send photos of the terrible blending. I also told her my purpose of speaking to her was to bring attention to the fact I was double booked I just wanted to let her know so it didn’t happen to other customers. During my appt my stylist had said something about this being a frequent issue because of management. My money piece was half white half dark brown. My roots weren’t blended at all and I had thick strips for highlights. I told her I understood the stylist simply didn’t have time and I was sure they were talented. I told her I didn’t want to offend her at all I just can’t afford to drop $500+ on my hair overall. She proceeded to get more and more upset to the point I asked her to not be so aggressive and had to take her off speaker so my toddler couldn’t hear her. She told me the photos of the back of my hair the stylist took looked fine. I told her that wasn’t the issue it was everything in the front and my roots. I had specifically stressed I wanted natural blending and came away with 70s chunks at the root. Not only that but the original pieces she highlighted in the beginning she didn’t have time to pay attention to and they over processed, making my hair brittle and it all broke off as soon as I got home. I never have complained about hair before and was trying to be very calm sensitive and professional and spoke in an even tone. The manager proceeded to become more aggressive and yell at me. I recorded it in case she denies it because I couldn’t believe my ears. I low key want to post it to her fb. She needs some sort of accountability. In the end she very begrudgingly refunded only half of the cost and hung up on me. Terrible customer service and absolutely awful management. Worst hair experience of my life. I feel very sorry for the stylists that work here. My stylist was sweet and simply didn’t have enough time. P.S. Justine at Salt Hair Collective did an AMAZING job recovering what was left of my hair! 10/10 recommend. Sweet demeanor and absolutely crazy blonding/blending skills❤️ She took as much time as she needed with no rush and was very pro hair health offering tips and tricks for getting my hair back to its best.

I've been with XO since the very beginning when it was just Ash and one other stylist in a small studio room. That was in middle school and now I'm 21 and have gone there for every single one of my hair appointments since. It makes me so happy to see they've grown so much and I trust every stylist out on Ash's floor. They're all such talented people and I always leave feeling good about my hair. Definitely recommend this salon !!

I have like 4 hair tones and being active duty with hair regulations I am allowed to color it if it looks natural. I've never seen natural hair look like this. I was originally told I could go dirty blonde at the least and got a weird platinum with blonde shades...I wanted ash blonde only. Currently going to wear covers until I can ATTEMPT to unf***k this expensive mess with the help of Amazon. I loved what the back looked like though and my stylist was super quick and organized. Ladies, just make sure to stop, get up and check the mirror closely if you have need corrective lenses. Ask what the finished shade will be and if there will only be one.. I don't blame my colorist I just blame myself for thinking I can blindly let a professional take over without asking silly questions. I would've loved to be dark blonde by the way 😢.

I hope this review gets in front of the right eyes, because this place is golden! I have an eight year old who really wanted to go to a “real salon” for her first real haircut/style. I selected XO Lab because I have been following Ash Fortis for years and am well aware with her talent and high standards, as well as the incredible ambiance of the salon itself. We were rewarded with the best experience anyone could ask for. Krista is my child’s stylist, she is incredibly attentive and patient and my child walked out of the salon looking and feeling like a million bucks. Worth every penny. It is also worth mentioning that my child is neurodiverse and we didn’t mention this or make any special accommodations, and Krista navigated this with the ease of a seasoned pro. I’d give them a million stars if I could. Thank you XO Salon!

Polite stylist! Amazing products and every single time they make sure you hair comes out exactly the way you want it and like it ! I would most definitely recommend coming here for anything from simple looks to fun crazy colors ! They are amazing at the all. They also have various stylist levels with various price categories.
