I always come here for my balayage, and Justin and his assistant are both super friendly and talented. This was my second time getting balayage from him, and the results were amazing. The color was easy to maintain, and he did such a great job!

This was my first time going to a salon that does color well— I went in with an uneven, yellow, and grown out dye job and I left with exactly what I wanted! There was no judgement and the people working there are really nice :D plus I like the music they played The hair stylists took their time to separate each strand of hair before dyeing it. The price is very reasonable considering the amount of time it took (4.5 hours) and compared to Manhattan prices— would definitely come back!

edit 11/11 after coming here 3 times -- i really hate having to edit this after so many visits, but there are things that have made me a bit hesitant to come back. - i had to ask them to put in leave in conditioner when they brushed wet hair - i had to ask them to put heat protectant when curling - they cut my face frames STRAIGHT across on DRY hair (they cut all of my hair dry actually) -- the face frames lowkey look terrible and i wish i just said to not bother - the first 2 times i came i had Jesse and Justin and the last time I came, I am not confident the person knew what they were doing? the coloring was pretty uneven on one side and they told me it would become more even after a couple of washes but.. idk ---- i have been dying my hair for 10 years now and i have only found 2 places i would actually trust with my hair (this is one of them) Jessie & Justin actually care about you and providing good service. they manage expectations well & told me what was & wasn’t possible. so worth the 1-1.5 hour commute here :’) balayage + cut was $330 for me before tip

Came in to retouch my hair. The staffs were rlly nice and made suggestion for my hair. The results came out better than I expected amazing service!

I got a wash and blow out with Byron and he did a wonderful job!! He took his time washing my hair and it came out shiny and soft :)

I'm beyond impressed with the staff. They were able to get me to my inspo picture in one session with full highlights and a cut. The staff are really friendly and service was great!

Loved my haircut at Xsquared hair studio! My sister and I came in right when they opened on a weekday morning, and they sat us right away. I got a cut and balayage, and Justin and his assistant were very detailed and thorough with the process, giving me tips on how to upkeep my hair. 10/10 experience and would go again next time I’m in town!

I’ve been going to Justin for a bit now and he’s always done really great. This time, I had my hair dyed and cut. I showed him a few pictures in the beginning, and he was able to replicate it perfectly. I’m super happy with the results. His pricing is pretty fair too compared to places in Manhattan. He speaks English and Chinese and responds very quickly to my messages. It’s a smaller studio, but it allows him to really focus on each client that’s there. Would highly recommend him!

They did both a cut and two color balayage, even making suggestions based on my photo. It came out even more magical than I thought it would and was even better than my reference image.

I had a great experience here! Jessie and Justin were super friendly and accommodating. They always checked up on me and asked if I wanted water or snacks. I got a balayage done and would definitely come back!

Don’t think this guy knows how to cut men’s hair unfortunately. Had hopes he could at least layer my hair because he gets great reviews from females. Primarily a colorist.. not hair stylist.

This was my 2nd time coming here but also my last for many reasons: 1. They are short staffed and overworked so it took twice as long to get my hair done. 2. The hair color I asked for doesn’t match what I got but because it took so long, I decided to just leave instead of speaking up. Now I’m always self conscious and wishing my newly dyed hair would fade quickly. I shouldn’t feel that way after paying so much. 3. Jessy was so overworked that she didn’t even have the energy to thoroughly wash out the hair dye in my hair. I literally went home to wash my own hair. 4. It’s been over 10 days, even with me washing my hair everyday, the hair dye is still coming off. I’ve been getting an allergic reaction to something in it that did not happen the first time I was there. 5. Again, because they were short staffed, everything was unsanitary. Everyone used the same comb, the hair curler on the floor was used on other people’s hair. No one even bothered to offer to curl my hair although I would have said no anyways because the hair curler was on the floor.

First time coming here for cutting, bleaching and dying my hair. Overall, the experience was great as both Jesse and Justin were very meticulous with my hair. They also cater to my requests to the best of their abilities because some of the things I wanted wasn't possible due to the condition of my hair. However, they really pulled through! The color was even more beautiful than I had expected and I was so thrilled with the result as I didn't think the color would be achievable for my hair. For the price, this is definitely a steal and I'm so glad to have found this place.

I absolutely love coming here! I only trust Justin with my hair. He is so talented and always gets the color I want PERFECTLY while keeping my hair healthy! His assistant is also super friendly and the studio is nice and clean. I would highly recommend for all hair care/style needs! 10/10! :)

I came in for a balayage after seeing all the positive reviews here. They were great and very attentive. My hair is quite damaged from all the dying but they were able to make it work! Would definitely recommend.

This is my second time coming here to get my hair done and I just love their service since Justin and his sister are really friendly and thorough with their work. Although it took me 7 hours to get an ash silver/grey balayage I thought it was worth it. Will definitely come back again.

Worth the waiting! This were my second time coming in for a balayage. Justin is the pro in the area. He is patience and professional when it comes to design and colors. He is so attentive and his assistant is so nice and respectful! Outstanding service! Always listen to ur matters! Highly recommended!

A great, efficient, and elegant haircut at a very affordable price. I showed my stylist an inspo picture and mentioned that I wanted curtain bangs and layers, and he confidently & expertly whipped my hair into shape.

Jesse & Justin really know the best color and cut for your hair. I came in asking for something I thought I wanted, but they came up with something WAY better. Thanks for getting the stubborn black henna dye out of my hair and transforming my locks into a real dream! Highly recommend this place.

They did an incredible job with my balayage, spending so much careful time and personal attention to my hair. I've had my hair done at several salons in the area and in Manhattan and never been as satisfied as I was with my experience here. Also so reasonably priced - highly recommend this place! I will definitely be coming back.
