Super attentive and friendly staff! I got a men’s haircut here and my stylist (Chika) was a pro. She gave great recommendations on my hair and was very detailed with scissor work. I was able to get a same day walk in which was nice because i was visiting from out of town.

Yukari has become my go-to hairdresser! I always leave absolutely loving my haircut and am sure to get compliments. She is very methodical and thoughtful, she's going to spend time with you to really understand what you want, what's best for your lifestyle (do you like to style your hair? do you want something low-maintenance?), and give you her advice on what would work best. I cannot recommend her enough! She is absolutely worth the splurge!

Went last weekend to get a cropped bob haircut with Yukari. I came here a few months ago for a bang trim, and just knew this was the place to go to for a bolder haircut. Best haircut experience HANDS DOWN. the attention to detail was insane, and the hair stylists will make sure you get exactly what you want, while also consulting on small adjustments to suit your face/hair texture. Could not be happier! I feel like a new person. Definitely worth the splurge if you're going for something bold and dont want to leave looking like a pencil

Absolutely loved this boutique hair salon. I was able to make a same day appointment later in the evening. The stylists are really kind and friendly. We have great conversation while I waited and while I got my haircut.

Came here for a wash/blowout for an event and left relaxed, refreshed, and with amazing hair. I’ve never had a stylist be so gentle with my super fine hair. From the wash and massage all the way to using hot tools everything was super delicate. I need more reasons to come back to NYC to visit here.

Came at a friends recommendation because they nailed their wolf cut! Owner is so lovely and took all my detailed explanations into account. I’ve gotten wonderful compliments on the bangs ✨ I also had a very lovely hair washing experience, done with great care and gentleness.

Chika was very thoughtful and skillful. I brought some reference photos, she helped me pick the one with regard of my hair texture and face features. I went from quite long hair to collarbone length, the result is exactly what I wanted! Will visit again!

Yukari did my first medium bob style more than 10years ago and I loved the wide range of versatility I got in styles that I never went back to long hair. just wonderful!! i drew a picture of what i wanted and kumi (who was lovely and friendly) found reference online based on that + worked from there—couldn’t be happier with the result!!!!! all around quick and great experience with a comfortable atmosphere and very reasonable pricing for the quality and thought put in.

Great haircut! Recently moved to NYC so I was nervous getting my haircut from someone new. I saw the great reviews and made an appointment with Junya. Such a nice guy and great at cutting hair! We made casual conversation as well. I showed photos of the haircut I was aiming for. Junya asked a lot of questions before cutting which was appreciated. I also told him to do what he thinks would look best on me as well. Went from long hair to super short hair and I loved it and have gotten so many compliments! Definitely recommend, will be coming back :)

My first time visiting and was slightly disappointed. When I made reservation, I noted that I want a haircut and maybe some coloring (I wanted to do a consultation first). When I showed up, the stylist told me I can’t do anything but a haircut. They also charged me the highest price ($150) listed for haircut when I have medium length hair. The whole haircut took 30min with most of the time spent on drying my hair. He also forgot to cut the hair in the front…he is ready to send me off and I had to remind him. I felt I didn’t walk away with the experience I wanted for the price.

I just returned to New York from elsewhere, and my regular hair salon, which I usually visit without an appointment, couldn't accommodate me without one. So, I randomly searched for nearby shops that accept walk-ins, and I was lucky to find that Yama was able to take me. They were extremely friendly, and since my hair had been dyed multiple times before, it was in pretty bad condition. The hairstylists were patient and took my hair seriously, giving me advice on how to care for it. Sometimes, the length I wanted to cut didn't match what the stylist had in mind, but they managed to achieve the exact length and style I desired. I'm very satisfied with this haircut. Thank you all～

I'd walked by this salon for years before finally booking an appointment, and I'm so glad I did. Yukari is probably one of the more talented hair stylists I've ever encountered. If you have straight hair, if you have or want a bob, you need to see her.
