Adams fantastic- the best blowout I’ve had in years. So I came back from a long weekend and literally threw my hair under a v-part wig for 3 weeks. I realized I needed an actual professional blowout and not my humble one I do at home. So I did a quick search and found out that the South Loop Yehias is literally near by. I was lucky enough to get a the same day and Adam was my stylist. Honestly can’t believe how much I lucked out. Not only did Adam do a great job with my hair - he gave me advice on how to maintain it and respected my boundaries when it came to trimming my hair. Oh and Adam uses ‘Marcel’s’ which is supposed to be a big deal in hair world (this is what my mom told me). Either way my hair now bounces when I walk ☺️ I have naturally curly 3C/4A fine moderate to high density hair. My hair is color treated And I don’t mind writing this review and name dropping Adam as my stylist because I’ve already pre booked my future appointments. cause I know how things get booked out after you name drop a good stylist UPDATE: Like I said - my appts are pre booked - so at my second appt I got that trim Adam suggested- I’m happy to say that he was not scissor happy and asked for my permission before and throughout the process while educating me on the specific needs of my hair. Now as for the REAL tea - the actual cut… gorgeous!! Like I now get asked if “that’s my real hair” on the regular and as my hair grows into it, it gets prettier- very bouncy very playful with how he cut it! I still, Highly recommend

I have been getting my hair done (wash/blow dry and straighten) with Evan for a few years now. He's great and always gets my really straight! Sometimes he blow drys with too much heat but he will always turn it down when I mention it.

Yehia operates a great salon where i have had my hair done for over a decade. His stylists are all great and very friendly and professional. They always do a great job on my hair and they have varieties of different clients with different types of hair who they serve. I strongly recommend salons of Yehia.

Adam did a wonderful job with me as a walk in client. He was very friendly, and knew exactly what my hair needed. Gave some recommendation for my hair care at home! I will book again!

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new salon! I got my Keratin treatment a few weeks ago and dyed my hair. Both appointments I had with Adam who is very kind and most importantly very professional with his work. I’m very happy with the final result. I was taken care of and everything was explained to me. I had keratin treatment in the past and this one came out so well! Definitely would say schedule your appointment with Adam! Thank you

Adam made my experience at Yehia amazing! He was respectful, funny, patient and truly listened to what my concerns were. Provided me with great advice that I will absolutely be applying from here on out! In all, I received a blow dry, trim, and bouncy curls and I could not be happier with the outcome. I went in needing a lot of help and I left feeling confident and knowledgeable about how best to take care of my hair. Thank you again, Adam!

Every visit to Chicago includes going to the Hyde Park salon for color, cut, and blow-dry. Yahia has been doing my hair for 30 years, and I assure you that you can't go wrong.

I'm editing my review: Yehia is still a magician when it comes to cutting hair, but wait times are getting ridiculous and I end up spending half a working day despite ALWAYS getting an appointment first. The blue/green color I got last time washed out in days, and I was told that was the nature of it, and I'd have to keep going back...yikes! I have had my hair colored/cut five times now, and even took visiting family there as Yehia did an amazing job for a great price and I thought I'd found the best, but I will be looking for some place new. The shampoo staff gets my back really sopping wet every time, they really need to get better chairs/staff. Yehia is a sweetheart though, and if you just need a good cut, I'd recommend this place.

Love this salon! They did an amazing job with toning my hair color (exactly the color I wanted) and completed a fantastic trim of my curly hair. Overall, a great place for color, trims and styles. Everyone was super nice and the prices were really reasonable. Highly recommend!

My hair experience was nothing like what I expected. I was very apprehensive when I got there but I know it was my nerves. Once I was able to relax and see the outcome of other clients.. I felt somewhat better. My stylist was amazing! He was very patient & professional. I will definitely go back again and refer someone. 5star status!!!

I am extremely disappointed. My appointment got canceled just 2 hours before the service. I was told that her son had ammonia LAST week but instead of canceling the day before she decides to cancel just a couple hours before. Also I was charged a fee on their booking app and there was no service being provided… save your time and money, find a stylist who actually cares for her job and clients.

I asked for a trim and she cut off 5 inches of my hair and gave me a bob cut in the front. It is also such a choppy cut. I’m so sad I just wanted a basic trim before I got engagement photos done. Now I have to postpone the photo shoot by 6 months so that my hair can grow back. The people here were really nice but she clearly did not know what she was doing in terms of hair cutting.

My daughter has extremely long, thick and curly hair. It tangles horribly when washed and it's gotten to be too much for us to handle. Yehia is AWESOME. He is gentle and patient with her. Takes his time with comb outs and styling her hair. He genuinely tends to every strand. It always looks so beautiful when he is done. I recommend this salon for any of your hair whoas, they are very professional. Also Velerie is a gem as well. She is the go too for eyebrows and body waxing!!

Terrible experience. I got an appointment for my mom (first time visiting Chicago) for today at 2pm. She went there and checked in, then she made her wait for 20minutes and in the meantime clients were checked in and going straight to get their service done. My mom went to the front again and asked what was the reason for the delay since it was already 2:30pm. They told her “Well we don’t have an appointment for you and we don’t anybody to see you”. Why they had her wait for 30minutes and then told her that? I called several times to make sure that appointment was set and also confirmed the day before. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

left me looking and feeling beautiful! usually i have yehia cut my hair but his coworkers are nothing to scoff at. i don’t recall the name of my stylist but we had great communication and he was super quick! will be back for my yearly cut. :)
