Vera is an excellent and professional hairdresser. I came in with an idea for a pink balayage and she helped me make sure that the dye would look good with my skin tone and natural hair color. She listened closely during the consultation, tested a color on a strand of my hair so we could see what it looked like on me before committing, and she ultimately mixed several custom colors for me to choose from. The process took over four hours, and she was patient and kind the whole time. I left with a haircut and balayage that I'm very excited about. The price was also hard to beat. I highly recommend Vera, and I will be a returning customer.

They lined (Eddy) me up and got rid of my unibrow (Vera). I have been here three times for eyebrows and one time for haircut. They are from Albania, super kind people highly recommend.

I've gotten a manicure here a couple times now, and I have always been pleased with the results. The salon is always very welcoming and Mary does a very thorough job. I am not much of a chit-chatter and prefer the awkward silence, but they never make me feel weird about it. If you DO love a good conversation, they are always willing participants. If you're looking for a local salon feel with people who care, this is the place.

Reasonable & transparent pricing!!! Vera confirmed the price of the appointment at the beginning ($125 for partial highlights) and that included toner, treatment, and a blow dry. She let me choose between many highlight color options and I loved the results! I recommend this great small business!

I really wanted to like this place because Vera seems like a very nice lady, but the haircut was done very poorly. I showed her a picture to cut my hair in layers and i wanted to keep as much of the length of my middle part as possible (so basically just a trim) and she gave me short Sabrina carpenter curtain bangs instead and cut my hair very short when I explicitly said I wanted to keep the length of the middle part. Now it's going to take another 2 years to grow all that length back and i look like a preschool teacher that let her student cut her hair.The layers should have been thinned out to look wispy like the photo but it looks quite choppy and uneven. I didn't notice at first because she convinced me into getting a blowout but now that Ive finally washed my hair I regret getting the service done right before my trip and the school year now it's going to take over 2 years to grow out these bangs. So nevermind the fact that it looks nothing like what i asked for, the haircut that she did decide to give me looks very bad and choppy. Save your time and money and get it done professionally elsewhere. UPDATE: Feeling very upset during my whole vacation about my ruined hair i came back to the salon in hopes of getting a refund. Luckily they made that part easy for me, Vera remembered who I was and offered to give a refund and also to texturize my hair. At first i declined because I didnt want her to cut and leave my hair more in ruins that it already was, she reassured me that she wasn't going to be cutting it. what can i say i respect someone who is trying to get some redemption so i trusted her again for a 2nd time. Big mistake. I sat down in her chair, she confessed that she had been crying the past 3 nights over my review (as if i havent been crying the past week on vacation over my own hair that i have to wait 2 years to fully grow out to its original length) in hopes of guilt tripping me. I did feel guilty at first, but after applying some products to my hair she then went right for the shears and I immediately got up and refused the service stating that I didnt want my hair cut and I just want my refund. Her husband immediately understood and told her to stop as she was trying to defend herself. She got more defensive and saying that i shouldn't post reviews like that, and started accusing me of using a 2-3 year old photo for my "before" photo in the review just because she didn't see the same highlights in the photo from when she cut my hair (when you can still clearly see the same highlights in the after photo). I corrected her saying the photo was taken 2 weeks ago and offered to provide proof of the date it waa taken and she shrugged it off as a misunderstanding and that it was my fault for poorly communicating to her what i wanted. long story short, i got my refund thanks to her husband who was was trying to keep it calm and used that money to get my hair evened out and properly layered at another salon. Needless to say I won't be coming here again. It just seems like she does not listen to her clients.

Took my son for a haircut here and Vera was incredible! She was so nice and patient with him as he was very scared of getting the haircut. She did a great job under unique circumstances (my son was sitting on my lap on the floor while she cut his hair) and he looks so handsome! Thank you!

What a wonderful experience at the beauty salon! The lady who attended to me was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, her energy gave me a sense of peace and confidence that's hard to find. Besides being extremely professional in her work, you can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in the results. I’ve found my go-to stylist! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and personalized experience. I will definitely be coming back.

My wife has gotten her nails done here for several years and our daughter has done the same when visiting from NYC. They have always felt great with the results. My wife's most recent visit included getting her nails done and her hair trimmed and shaped. Diane thought they did a professional job on her hair and nails. Yolanda has been doing my hair for 15 years! She is a color expert, gives outstanding cuts, and is artist of hair! Mary gives the best manicures and pedicures. Tools are clean, she is precise, and takes time with her clients. I’m a picky client and this is my salon!

Highly recommend! Everyone was very nice and Yolanda was AMAZING. She talked to me about my hair condition, what to do, and how my routine will change as my scalp gets healthier. I've never had someone so thoroughly talk through my hair and educate me. Lots of places seem like they want to sell certain products but she didn't do that. I asked for recommendations and she even suggested something they don't carry and where to buy it for the best deal. I look forward to going back and improving my scalp health.

Got a haircut at this place. Yolanda was so kind and positive; and her knowledge of hair and scalp is amazing. She helped me understand my scalp texture, my hair, and haircare routine much better than any other hair stylist ever has. She recommended options and treatments without pushing I should buy anything from her. I really enjoyed my conversation with her and benefited so much from her knowledge.

I took my 4 year old to get a haircut and Yolanda was unbelievably patient with my wiggly kid! Her gentleness, warmth, and patience made my little girl so happy and she really took the time to make the haircut look fantastic which I've found a lot of places kind of give up on kids that little when they move around. We will definitely be back!

Yolanda gave me a mens cut that I'd expect to have paid 3 times as much for. She spent time to properly texturize my hair and gave me better styling and haircare advice than other stylists have ever been able to give. I'm leaving Chicago, but I was so happy that I'll make an appointment with her if I'm ever visiting town again.
