I love yellow door salon! I always come here to get my haircut and have never left disappointed! I usually get blonde highlights and a cut and Holly does and amazing job. I recently went reddish brown and keep getting complemented on my ‘natural’ color 😉 The salon itself is cute, clean, and all the stylist are so friendly. I would definitely recommend trying this salon out!

Dr. Dietz was just awesome. So informative and helpful. This was botox for my 60th birthday. She was awesome. She followed my request. Wanted some but not too much. Wanted a little but didn't want to look like 20 years younger, just didn't want to look 60. Haha. Some what natural. She was THE BEST! She did exactly as I asked. Looked so natural. Just a subtle change. Will definitely go back. This was in October, Just now gonna do it against.

I started going to Holly at Yellow Door about a year ago. She was recommended by a neighbor. She is great. She really works with the texture of my curly hair. The cost is reasonable and she doesn’t book multiple clients at once. I’ve heard good things about the other hairdressers as well.

What a great salon filled with talented people! I moved to Austin 8 months ago and struggled to find a hairdresser who could give me a proper, feminine pixie cut. I suffered through so many horrific “GI Jane” style buzz cuts and dull razor cuts that left my ends frayed that I had given up hope (and started a gigantic hat collection). Then I met Lion at Yellow Door. A true professional and wizard with the scissors!!! I have a lot of funky cowlicks and naturally silver hair, so I need someone who is incredibly honed at the craft of cutting hair- and Lion is that person in Austin! I cannot recommend this woman enough or express how happy I am to have finally found “my salon” in my new home :)

Yellow Door salon is such a lovely place with the best vibe ever, but Michelle Orlowski specifically is THE BEST of the best. She works so fast and does such an amazing job. She checks in on me between appointments and I could not ask for a better service or experience. I have had her do everything from a simple hair trim to a full highlight and hair extensions. Every service is a 10/10. I even get compliments from stylists at other Dry Bars about how awesome my extensions are and how high quality / well done they are. I cannot recommend Michelle or Yellow Door highly enough.

I've been coming here since August last year, when my stylist moved here. Until now I have been happy. Today, there was a client without a mask, quite brazenly... hadn't forgotten and needed to be reminded. Sorry, that's totally unacceptable to me. My stylist was embarrassed about it but as management is weak, and stylists are independent, she could do nothing about it. I will go see my wonderful stylist in Austin in future. Sad, very sad.

Holly is the best stylist! With her talent and experience it was no surprise to me that she learned at the Fashion Institute of LA. Her salon feels brand new, cozy and clean, with comfy chairs and hair washing stations. It is not super noisy like some other salons I've been to here in Austin. She takes care of you start to finish and is super easy to talk to. There was only one other stylist and customer there during my 3 hour appointment, just as I was told there would be, and I felt very safe with the social distancing. It took me 3 years before I found a stylist I love and Holly is it! She cuts and colors my hair, and cuts my kids hair too. You won't be disappointed with Yellow Door Salon ATX!

I love my haircut. This is such a good salon. So nice and clean and everybody was so friendly. I’m not sure what the previous review is talking about. Everybody had a mask on. This place is such a hidden gem. I can’t recommend it enough.

I recently had my hair done at the Yellow Door Salon and it was amazing! First off, the salon it’s self is located in a beautiful and peaceful part of Austin that really gets you in the mood to be pampered. Secondly, the salon itself is so cute! Very updated with a hint of farmhouse chic. Thirdly and most important, Michelle who did my hair, did an amazing job. Give this place a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
