I have been a loyal customer for over 14 years and I would highly recommend YNI for anyone on their natural hair journey. The shop is a whole vibe and my appointment is my appointment, I.e. it’s very rare that there is a wait to get in the chair once I arrive.

I’ve had such an amazing and positive experience with the hairstyling services here for many years. I’ve gone from braids and twists to now locs, each style has been executed with skill and artistry. Whether using extensions or working with my natural hair, the stylists have consistently delivered results that not only enhance my appearance but also boost my confidence. The wonderful stylists truly excel in their craft, making every client look and feel beautiful. Their dedication to their work and their ability to bring out the best in each individual is a testament to their expertise and passion. Where ever you are in life no matter your age they could find a style or solution for you. I personally have been going to this salon for the last 7 years and I never once regretted doing so. Even if it’s for something simple I recommend going at least once you might learn something new about your hair or just meet a new friend.

I had an appointment scheduled on June 15th at 9am with Michelle. I got a call around 8am saying that the stylist that I booked with had a family emergency and wasn’t able to do my hair which I understand things happen. They told me that I could reschedule or wait until later in the afternoon and they would call me and have another stylist do my hair that day. I never received that call. The shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays so I couldn’t reach them then. By Tuesday I begun calling the shop to try to reach someone. I have called the shop 10 times over the past week and have never got an answer. I went by the shop once on Tuesday around 2pm the shop was closed with the doors locked. I have left voicemail and have not received a call back. When I went to rebook with the website there were no more openings for the month of June. I even put myself on the waitlist and still have no heard anything. With the lack of communication between myself and this shop I will not be trying to book with them again.

I enjoy going here because of the professionalism. I like that they still have you come in with a mask on and wash your hands, and they keep the door locked so you feel safe. Online booking is a gem-- you pick your own appt time, then you get an appt reminder later. Since they've hired a new stylist a few months ago I am able to get in quicker than before. She works gently yet quickly and is a pleasant/upbeat person which helped me feel comfortable when she was first starting there. I like her work on my hair. My locs are always super moisturized and have continued to thrive since I've been coming here.

I enjoy the atmosphere, the kindness, and how my hair looks when I leave. Everyone is so professional. I have been going to Your Natural Image for some time and I have not been disappointed. Michelle takes good care of my locs and it's such a great place to relax and get your hair done. They know their business and it's all about taking good care of the hair . They all are friendly and very professional.

I love this shop so much, I have had the pleasure of having my hair done by Adrian and Michelle and I always leave loving my style. The products they sale, they use and my hair has never looked better using them. Friendly atmesphere, and I love that the still have covid protocols. I would give 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend this place.

It is truly disappointing to give small businesses poor reviews. However, this business absolutely deserve this one. After booking a “virtual consultation” weeks in advance and calling back to confirm, they were late. How are you late to a virtual appointment? Not by 1 or 2 minutes but 15. People value their time and if you don’t respect others times you will lose business. On top of that, they were very rude and very condescending. Just absolutely the worse customer service you can provide. I know you owned your own business but customers literally pay your bills. Being rude and disrespectful to 1 person, may cause you to lose multiple businesses. This is unacceptable and I really wish y’all will do better in the future.

I booked for a Wednesday special. For a wash and trim. I assumed the style included a blow dry but it did not once I realized I asked could I add blow drying. The women said that’s fine. Another women Rudely came over and said you already have another client sometimes you just have to say no. The service was good from who was doing my hair. Didn’t care I was sitting there and made me feel bad for asking to get my hair blow dried. It was very unprofessional

I came here after I cut ifd my locs that were healthy and I had grown for several year. I had just wanted a break feom the locs and then decided I had long enough break lol. So I had starter locs. One thing I will say is this establishment is clean! And the quality depends on the stylist you use. If I had gotten sisterlocs I may have had a better experience. I also was to trusting and didn't make sure to choose the stylist based on their work I saw online. I assumed because they did brick parts only that the parts would be neat .I worked with Monique.My parts were uneven on day 1, I unfortunately let it go cause the coils were neat and I didnt want to go throuh the process and start over again. But whenI came back for my retwist and she realized she didn't part it right and try to correct the middle of my head just the first couple rows and made it worse. I could not tolerate it at that point. And when I came back to have it fixed she wasn't rude , but asked kind of inquired like it was me and not the fact that the work was poorly done. I chose this place partly because of there prices for starter locs being listed by inch. I didnt want th stylist to make up a new peoce after the fact. I measured my hair at home and had another consultation with another place that told me 10 inches . But when I went to my consultation with natural they said 8 ,just to tell me 10 the day of. Luckily I was prepared, but that's why it's important to not rush for the paid consultation. This photo is before and after the "fix". I was not charged for "the fix. " They book a tight schedule so it's difficult to make corrections if need be. They were not rude when I spoke to the owner but parting is like essential to locs unless they are spiritual for you and in that case I wouldn't have spent $200 plus a small tip

I came here before in 2020 and had the best experience. My go to Loctician was fully booked and I needed my hair done for an event. I decided to go back to someone who I thought would give me the same great experience she did before. Instead she handled my postpardom hair really rough even after I told her my hair around the edges were thinning and to be careful. She put thick edge gel in my hair that flaked out not even the next day. I actually ended up crying about how tight my hair was! On top of it all I was overcharged and when I called in to let them know it was met with rudeness. I didn’t even want the actual cash back, I wanted to apply it to a color consultation. Overall will never trust anyone at this salon to touch my hair. This is probably the worst thing that has happened during my loc journey.

I love Your Natural Image! The salon is inviting and comfortable. LaShaun is a Master Stylist and consummate professional. For almost 15 years, she has been maintaining my Sisterlocs and I receive regular compliments and inquiries about who does my hair. I strongly recommend services here. The stylists care about healthy hair and they know their craft!

YNI has always been a pleasant experience, the shop is always clean, all staff follow protocols to keep their clients safe, the staff is always courteous and can be very funny! My bomb Loctician LeShaun is about her business she’s very professional, polite,, thorough and expeditious as she talks her hands never stop moving! She established my Sister locs and I’m still in love with them 2 years later!! I appreciate that she’s always accommodating as unexpected events arise, moral of the story, I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
