I write this review with genuine distress, having never encountered such unprofessionalism and outright disrespect. The experience I endured at this salon was not only disappointing but deeply unsettling, particularly in how the owner, Yair, treats his clients, especially women. Please see the VIDEOS and IMAGES below of this encounter. (Please note I have since gotten it corrected. This happened a week ago) Upon meeting (The owner) Yair, he made a series of inappropriate and unsettling comments. Despite knowing I’d recently moved to Miami, he openly speculated about relationships falling apart here and implied that my boyfriend might cheat on me, as “Miami is filled with beautiful people.” He then proceeded to share details about his personal life, including frequenting strip clubs and his history of infidelity. These comments were entirely unprofessional and made me profoundly uncomfortable. As for the service itself, I visited the salon seeking only a haircut. However, I left with an unexpected bill for over $400 and ORANGE hair thanks to an unnecessary and unrequested “hair Botox” treatment. Yair suggested a conditioning treatment but failed to explain the potential risks or costs involved. I had made it clear that I had a professional conference just two days later, yet he proceeded without transparency. The sole “explanation” I received was a brief video of the treatment on someone with a completely different hair type, which left me ill-prepared for the consequences. (A before and after on a Latina or Indian woman) Now, my hair is severely damaged, tacky feeling actually and I’m faced with additional expenses to repair it. Please note I am not discrediting my hair cut, however, after speaking with professionals on this matter Yair failed to disclose the harsh reality of the treatment and the results that I could be facing. My scalp burned during the entire process and I am just now realizing that this was not something that I needed at all and it was extremely harsh for my hair. I have no problem paying for my hair cut and wash. (Which I did) When I attempted to address these issues, I received neither an apology nor any offer to make it right. Instead, Yair dismissed my concerns, even going so far as to tell me to “stop being dramatic” and to “stop ugly crying.” After seeing other negative reviews, it’s clear that my experience is not unique. His responses to these reviews suggest he may attempt to discredit mine as well, but I urge anyone considering this salon to read these accounts carefully. This was, without question, the most unprofessional and distressing salon experience I have ever endured. Please save yourself the trip. This guy is also in a lawsuit as of September 2024 from his landlord for not being able to pay his $2,300.00 rent. Something isn't adding up. Please please DO YOUR RESEARCH. Please note* I was unable to unload all of the videos due to the length, but I hope this can shed some light on the situation. I started recording the conversation after leaving, crying, reading reviews and then attempting to go back in and ask for a correction. It was then I had the idea to record my encounter after leaving in tears the first time.

Owner berated and treated my girlfriend so poorly, she came home crying, not to mention his work and attitude was poor. Just look at the reviews below, he is even rude and berates anyone who leaves a poor review, so why would you expect him to be better in person. DONT SUPPORT THIS GUY

I have very long hair and I am very careful when choosing my hairstylists.I don’t color my hair but Yair is great at cutting and styling hair!I live very far from his salon but I keep coming back for my haircut because he’s very talented.I am sure he does a great job at coloring too but I have never tried it. I definitely recommend him!!💯

“Not a hair salon, but a men’s barber place with just trimming services” ‘Unhygienic’ - all brushes have so much hair in them, looks so disgusting. He still keeps using them as is. When his guy friends come, they use salon items such as trimmer to trim their nose and what not. Just eww. ‘Sloppy’ - have been to so many salons, first time I was completely drenched during hair wash. He thinks he is doing it so fast, but in reality he just keeps making a mess. Things fall, hair everywhere. ‘Aggressive’ - Whether it is applying something, washing, blow drying or even basic brushing hair is painful here. He was pulling hair, hurting scalp. Whole experience is aggressive and hurtful. ‘Not worth it’s - Charges crazy amount, not worth the service and worst experience ever. Will not reveal the prices till the end. Very unprofessional. His attitude towards every customer is my way or nothing. Should have stuck with my usual hair salon. Midtown salons are way better. Definitely never coming back here. Seeing the responses on other reviews, he is definitely going to write something rude on this one as well, but every single word in my review is 100% honest and from my personal experience.

I am forever loyal to this hair architect. He truly understands the physics of hair and customizes each of my cuts to reflect exactly what we discuss. No cookie cutter styles. He will make creative recommendations but is very respectful of client desire. He is always on time, diligent, and extremely amusing! Worth every moment.

The hairstylist harassed me and bullied me during the haircut. I told him I don’t want to speak anymore, and he started yelling at me that I will not tell him not to scream in his place that he can do whatever he wants. I signed up for a five membership he wont refund The remaining services Obviously, I’m not able to go back there after he’s embarrassing harassment in front of other people in the hair salon and the employees He should close down and move to a different industry. where communicating with people is not part of doing business. He took out his personal problems on me. He didn’t finish my beard. Also, after I told him it’s causing the anxiety and to please stop speaking to me. He just made it worse than worse and kept threatening me. This place should be shut down

The "expert" Yair after I was asking for bleaching and he messed up my colour and the hair because now is all burned. I went after 3 weeks to another a real specialist to fix my hair and look at what Yair did to my hair. If this is how u call expert and blonde expert then you should start a new career !! Avoid him at all costs if you care about your hair.

Big waste of time and money. I went to this salon thinking that I could get a decent hair cut and blowdry without considering the costs. Unfortunately, I took my hair to this "salon"and regret it completely, the "stylist" massacred my hair and refused to admit it . My advise: Don't go there, they suck!

I don’t understand all this 5 stars reviews where are they coming from but I can be sure they are all fake or Yair is trying to cover his bad services. I m very disappointed about the services received here and the amount if money you have to pay for such a unprofessional and bad service. I was not comfortable with how he was talking with me and beside that I m not happy with how my hair ended up I have the worst haircut ! Overall my experience at this salon was bad!

The worst experience I had at this salon with Yair the “specialist” who says that he works as a hair stylist for 20years but he bleached my hair beside the fact that all my hair is burned and super fragil now after the bleaching he didn’t do the hair color I asked for. I tried to talk and say to him many times even I showed him a pic with the color I wanted and he told me I m not an expert and I should let him do his work because he knows better. He is aggressive, arrogant and very very rude with the clients. The blowdried a small piece of the hair to show me the color that he did and I wasn t happy I said I want to see all the hair dried so I can see better what color I have, but he left earlier and made me pay 500$ for this. The girl who was supposed to install the keratin extensions dried my hair she did a treatment for the hair and at the end we both saw the color was not even close to the one I asked and to the color of the extensions. I tried to ask for some money back because I was not satisfied with the result and after I saw my hair all burned because of him I was scared to let him “fix” what he was supposed to do in the first place. Obviously he put the blame on the girl he said because of her treatment the color is different which was totally a lie. I didn’t got any money back so I have a burned hair and a loss if 500$ because of this “expert”. I will post a foto to show how my hair was supposed to be and how he did it ! Do not go here unless u want to be treated like trash.

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for small businesses but I've gotten a lot of hair cuts in my life, in NYC, San Francisco, etc and this was the worst hair appt of my life, unfortunately. I am giving 2 stars because my hair does look nice at least. I was grossly overcharged, the prices listed on the website are misleading, charges were sneaked in that I didn't request, like HAIR BOTOX. I would've never paid for that if I'd known they were going to sneak that in... Also, while applying the dye, the owner and his assistant both pulled on pieces of my hair at the same time, really tight and when I said it hurt, they said "it's necessary to color the greys right", but once I got my hair blown out at the end, some of the greys weren't even colored. The stylist just cut off my remaining grey strands of hair, dry with scissors. Also, anytime I expressed something, a question, concern, etc I'd be told "I've been doing this for 25 years." It does not feel like this salon cares what you want, because they know better even though they just met you 45 seconds ago. Hands down the worst and strangest hair appointment of my life.

I have been coming to YSV Salon for many years. Besides the convenience of being in Edgewater, the personal and professional service offered by Yair is unparalleled. It is a gorgeous setting, has free parking and flexible hours to cater to my busy and unpredictable schedule. There is so much attention to detail, that I’m always offered an espresso or drink of my choice while my hair is being done. I started just dying my roots, but now have Botox treatments, gloss, hair cuts, blow outs and up dos for my daily work or special occasions. Moreover, I take advantage of the full service salon with skin care, massages, eyebrow design and mani pedis. I cannot say enough about Yair and his team at YSV. Fabulous!

While in town for the week, I stopped in for a blowout. The service was amazing, fast, and my hair came out amazing. Initially I was a bit nervous bc I have thick wavy hair that not everyone can easily work with but I loved the end result from YSV salon. This will be my new go to spot when visiting Miami.
