I've been going to Z Touch Salon for the last 2-3 years and I've had a great experience every time. I typically go with Z for a men's perm and haircut and have been happy with the result every time. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to get their hair touched up

Zhi Lan (also known as Z) is a fantastic stylist who deserves all the props people give him in his reviews. His salon is welcoming and cute. He wants to make sure that you know how to take care of your hair after you leave so he will give you tips and tricks to follow. For instance, I got a full balayage today on virgin hair and he mentioned making sure to tie my hair up loosely afterwards so as not to cause any breakage to the newly dyed hair. He helped my husband and I navigate the various hair dyes we could choose for my balayage and it turned out wonderfully! Thank you so much, Zhi! We love the results.

I HATE getting my hair cut, but this was a great experience! My hair looks and feels so much better, I was in and out within an hour (I have long hair), and for a big city the price isn’t too bad (half as much as other salons with similar ratings). This might be the place that finally inspires me to get regular trims. Looking forward to coming back!

I really had a good experience at Z salon with Star today. (Hope, I got your name right) He dyed my hair very patiently , and I can feel how careful and attentive he worked with my hair. The point is he understood all my needs, and gave me what I wanted with my hair style. So glad. Highly recommend.

Very chic and relaxing hair salon on ocean avenue. Not only is the price very budget-friendly($22 for a men's trim), but the owner Elaine is very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend!

I got a referral from my daughter. I’m so grateful after my hair done with Zhi yesterday. My hair has never got the right orange color that I dreamed to have for years and after the haircut, my hair looks so full and stylish. Besides the technical and creative skills, Zhi is also an honest & charming person. All of the above will make me comfortable to come back regularly. I love my new hairstylist!

Been going to Zee after moving closer to this area. Zee is very friendly and we always have fun/funny conversations. He's very efficient and I'm usually in/out quickly. Easy to get here by Muni (the K stops right in front) or car (plenty of street and residential parking).

Z does a great reliable job with my hair. First time I asked for a really specific long style and he nailed it! Second time I asked him to make it short and "look good" and he nailed it again. Now I come back and he consistently gives me the same great haircut

Been going to Zhi for years now! Post and pre pandemic, simply the best service and quality of work out there! The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing nature. Got my hair cut and dyed here multiple times, each time leaving with a smile on my face! There is simply nothing I can think of that can make each experience better. Zhi will do what's best for you and your hair health rather than making money killing your hair. I can't thank Zhi and his team enough for their wonderful services! Simply amazing!

Exceeded my expectations! Zee is skilled, friendly, and attentive. I left with a fantastic haircut that perfectly matched what I had in mind. The salon is clean and inviting, and the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be returning.

Great at communication. I had a covid scare and was able to easily reschedule once it passed. The stylist who cut my hair was quick and informative about what would suit my frame best. Would recommend and come again. About $75 including tip for a medium length haircut.

I had a terrible haircut here. Zee spent less than 10 minutes on my cut. The left and right side were different lengths, and the layers were uneven and chunky. I would not recommend

This is my go to salon to get my haircut in San Francisco after moving here from Arizona a little over a year ago. Z is very professional, friendly, quick, and consistent with cutting my hair. Highly recommend booking an appointment with him ahead of time as spots fill up pretty fast.
