Ive been searching for the best stylist. Once I found Maria it was the best thing ever. I’ve been coming here for 4 years already. She always wants the best for your hair and always makes sure it gets healthier everytime. I’m always changing my hair color and every time I tell her what I want she makes it happen and ever better. I recommend 100% my whole family comes here and they love it. 5 stars and moreeee. She is the BEST AND AMAZINGGGGGG !!!

This was my first time going to Zhu. I was on the hunt for a great colorist. Needed some highlights and a cut. Something different/new. Zhu was recommended to me by a friend. I took a chance and needlessly to say that I loved the outcome. Mari went over and beyond to exceed my expectations. She made sure that I was satisfied. Great customer service. I will definitely be going back. I think I found my new hair stylist.

I've been searching for a new hair salon in East Harlem that is good with naturally curly hair. Being Dominican my default hair salon is always been a Dominican place because they know how to blow out my curly hair. After reading the great reviews about this place and seeing that they focus on color correction I decided to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by Maria the owner, she is Mexican and I asked if she had experience with my type of hair and she reassured me that she did. I then explained that I needed to remove the dark hair color in parts of my hair to even it out. She examined my hair and said it could be done but she would use an oil since my hair is very fine and dry. I was nervous because I was unsure if she would be able to remove the color without damaging my already fragile hair. I made an appointment for the following day and she once again took the time to study my hair before she began to remove the color. It took a while but she was able to remove the dark color without any damage to my hair. She then washed and blew out my hair. I was very impressed that she was able to get my hair straight with the blow dryer and she did not use extreme high heat or burn my scalp. Maria is a professional and clearly knows how to style any type of hair. I would highly recommended this place to anyone looking for color correction or any salon service. This is a full service salon where you can also get eyebrows and body waxing and your nails done. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of services.

Maria is the best at everything when it comes to hair. I love coming to her salon when I need a wash & sets, perm and my ends clipped. Most important she makes sure her customers walks out happy and satisfied with the type hair style that they asked for. She is very good with all different types of hair natural, long, short and etc. I will recommend everyone to come get their hair done by Maria.

Great customer service very welcoming owned by a very sweet lady she was very gentle and fast I got a haircut and a blow out for $50 including tip which is great for the location. She did a beautiful job in about 45 min my hair feels so beautiful and healthy!

I've been with Mary for years, she's absolutely amazing, her hands are magical. Honestly, she knows how to work with any kind of hair! She's very professional and knowledgeable, I walked into this salon and I won't ever stop coming back, my hair is very healthy cause she puts love and care into her work! Thank you, Mary! I have been coming here for years with my natural hair and curls. This is the only place I’ll go to because as a person with very textured hair it’s hard to find a salon that will work with my type of hair!! My hair has been longer and the service is great!!

I read all the reviews and went to the salon. I am in love with my hair cut and how beautiful Mary left my hair. She listened to what I wanted and she did it exactly right. A big plus is that she gives a great blower and she doesn't burn you at all. I'm coming back to see her and I'm bringing my tender head daughter! Thanks Mary!!!

Maria is the owner. she is excellent at what she does. I go for me and my daughters. I trust her with my hair and as well with my girls. She tells you how to manage your and care for it. She is very kind friendly.

Maria was AMAZING! She was super sweet over the phone and even better in person! She is not only talented but you can tell she is also a hardworker. My hair was long but highly damaged, her cut gave life back to my hair. Love my bouncy hair and perky bangs.

The salon owner is nice but I should say I went in for a wash, blow and trim and my hair has never been the same . I’m a WOC with natural hair and I think the salon needs more knowledge on natural hair . The person that was washing my hair was extremely rough and I don’t know what these people did to my hair but my curls are not the same and my hair is extremely weak and falling out.

Yesterday was an overwhelming day for me , I just wanted a shampoo and blow so I can get my hair braided. I walked to many different Salons and everyone turned me down I do believe it was because I have natural hair. However, once I came into JZG Salon I felt welcomed! They shampooed and blew my hair out , the woman was so gentle the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME !! I was surprised because my hair was super tangled. I never got my hair braided because I love how my hair look ! I have to add some photos immediately lol
